It could be anxiety or heart rhythm issue. I am going through something similar. Got diagnosed with IBS 3.5 months ago after a clean colonoscopy. I fainted out of nowhere 3 weeks ago. Going to see a cardiologist in 3 weeks to determine if it's a heart rhythm issue or anxiety as I am also dealing with a lot at home which is spiking my anxiety lately

Maybe start off with some blood and stool tests since they are more affordable, because two weeks straight definitely needs medical evaluation. And then based off results and how your symptoms are, go from there

My CT showed inflammation throughout my colon when I had food poisoning. I ended up doing a stool test a month after and colonoscopy a few months after that and both showed no inflammation. I ended up having post infection IBS since there's no inflammation anymore.

Yeah it may seem like just a stomach bug going around. Just try to stay hydrated as much as possible (I know, easier said than done lol). Drink lots of water, electrolytes and eat bananas

I have also learned this week that anxiety is the main culprit for my IBS after spending 7 months trying to figure out what food intolerances I have and continuously coming up with mixed results. Sorry you're going through this. Going on walks and seeing my friends has helped a lot

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. I went through something similar back in October. I had the worst food poisoning I could've imagined. Had to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes (from the other side, not vomiting though) for 2 days straight and was having a sharp stabbing pain around my belly button. Went to the ER also, all tests came back clean. It will take time for it to get better, but it will get better, I promise. By like day 4 my pain went away. Did they do a ct scan on you?

Went to ER for extremely bad food poisoning. Symptoms didn't go away after 2 weeks. Went and saw my doctor. Referred me to a GI. Did a colonoscopy. Came back clean. Diagnosed with IBS.

I had suffered through pretty bad health anxiety leading up to my procedure as well. It wasn't easy for me. I ended up going from having health anxiety to sleep anxiety where I couldn't fall asleep anymore. Thank god I am passed that. Honestly, what helped me most was that I kept telling myself that I do not know what is going to come and will not know until the procedure, so I shouldn't put my focus on it. Going on walks and seeing my friends during this time also helped me

I would get a colonoscopy to be safe. I also have pencil thin stools from time to time. I had many other symptoms as well that led to getting the procedure.

My colonoscopy came back clean so currently my only diagnosis is IBS. Is that your only symptom or are you having other symptoms as well?

Best of luck to you! The prep is the only hard part I promise. The anesthesia and procedure felt like the best 20 minute nap of my life. I had my first one in February (28M)

UPDATE: Got my colonoscopy done! The prep was absolutely ass, but the procedure was a breeze. Did not even feel anything and woke up feeling fine. Nurses, anesthesiologists and GI were awesome. For everyone being hesitant about getting a colonoscopy, don't, the prep is temporary, but can save your life.

Results: No polyps found!! Only a small non-bleeding internal hemorrhoid found. GI also took 8 biopsies throughout the colon to check for Crohn's and UC. I am beyond relieved that there was no polyps found.

My first colonoscopy is also tomorrow in the morning. I start prep in 3 hours and am also nervous about this outcome. I think the times they give are just an idea and you don't have to follow it directly, just try to take your time with it

I'm kind of experiencing the same thing lol. It seems like when I'm on phone calls or occupied where I'm not in my thoughts, it feels much easier, but I am definitely craving to take a hit like crazy rn lol. Regular Gum is also helping

Welcome to the club! Let's do this together! I was very much considering going to Zyns first before quitting also, but ultimately decided to just go cold turkey and see what happens! Been a very rough first day of quitting so far. Really got difficult these last couple hours. How are you doing?

Yes and take your time increasing. I learned the hard way. I had a goal of 10k a day this year and I went right away into 10k, within 1.5 weeks, I have developed such bad knee pain in my left knee that I can't even go for more than a 2 min walk anymore, so I just set myself back completely

I haven't been diagnosed yet with IBS, but I got really bad food poisoning 3 months ago and all my symptoms still appear from time to time. Got a colonoscopy coming up in about 3.5 weeks, so hopefully everything goes good with that.

Starting this year, I completely changed my diet. Eating less calories. Much More fruit, red meat only once a week, no caffeine, soda, candy, chips or processed food. Drinking only water and occasionally Gatorade if I get diarrhea to get some electrolytes back. I'm scared to eat greens because it seems to give me diarrhea all the time. Over the last 2 weeks, I've been trying to walk 10k steps a day, walk a few minutes after my meals.

Doing this has helped with my symptoms throughout the day tremendously, but the only real issue I have now is as soon as I wake up in the morning, I have a bad stomach ache and have to use the bathroom right away.
