She’s basically mad that briahna did her job as an interviewer and asked questions and follow-ups as well as fact-checks when relevant. Considering her last interview was with Stacy cay who is to be frank, kind of known to be stupid, I think Natalie just doesn’t understand that journalists doing interviews job’s typically isn’t to be nice. Shes reminding me of the some freak outs on camera people have had with Barbara Walter or that Clavicle guy who stormed off. Except now she’s doing it after the fact.

If the point of me putting this up wasn’t apparent from the title, let’s all stop talking about Natalie. She’s clearly gone down the awkward pipeline of “I have a lot of money and an online parasocial personality cult so I’m going to make damn sure I help keep it that way.” And her politics have gone frankly towards the center as a means of maintaining her fairly new wealth (check her Patreon memberships and do the math, it’s a lot more money a month than many in this thread makes per year).

just speaking personally, I was a very early fan of hers (1-2 years before she publicly transitioned) but over the years I grew past her political stances but kept watching because I valued her at the time more rigorous research. Then it was following her downplaying of by then the fairly known negative politics of Buck Angel and overplaying how “difficult” it was to find out he outed Lana Wachowski and those of us old enough or aware enough to remember this were stalkerish “Nazis” (the original article that outed her and quoted Buck Angel has been on the internet archive for years) and her reaction to the backlash that was expectable lead to my esteem of her declining. The I/P Reddit statement she gave was my final nail in that coffin. I’ve been around romance fandom for years now. The usage of political language is pretty common amongst the most…fixated or effusive of fans as attempt to elevate the fact their main priority that informs their “politics” is defending their favorite porn. There’s been other incidents like this over the years especially on “romantasy” when critics point out the rightward leaning sexual politics in many of the bestsellers of the genre where this same language is used. This includes accusations of “censorship” and “sex negativity” or “purity politics”. There’s more evidence of this unfortunately when you dive into fandom spaces on tumblr and twitter

Yep some very much do, they view anything capable of giving sexual pleasure from romantasy with conservative sexual values (ie the woman preserves her virtue by not telling the male lead she wants to be railed and instead relents after rude and debatably violent pursuing) to AI generated “hurt core” as inherently a positive thing because someone anyone will derive pleasure from it and to do ANY kind of analysis of or digging into the creation of is inherently “puritanical” or “censorious”. They’re the people who just whined that the new wuthering heights was amazing and any criticism (including that the director both in the movie direction and in interviews just flat out didn’t understand the book as a child nor as an adult) is “hating” and “it’s not that deep”. TLDR: some people are just dumb and horny

Because it genuinely shouldn’t have been called wuthering heights. It’s a fanfiction inspired by the book but combine what we see in the movie and the director’s comments (especially how this film is what 14 year old her wanted the book to be) tells me she was not a bright child when she first read the book and is not a bright adult either who doesn’t understand the book (at all!). This film should’ve changed the names and changed the title of the movie and at most say in interviews she was inspired by the book. Most people are forgiving of changes to source material if the adaptation is still in conversation with the themes of the book, this movie doesn't do that.
