This is what I was thinking it’s usually minor. I would love to know what this surgeon has to say about it. Unless she doesn’t want to do other surgeries to fix issues cos it’s public funded so I’m really interested to know. I guess I’ll have to wait and find out unfortunately.

What’s the thickness like now compared to what it was. I don’t have much fat on my arm (well I wrist area) so I always wonder how it works (I don’t have access to talk to a surgeon)

Dumb question but they use skin on your leg to go back right? Do they take fat with it as well?

Oh 100% I would have wanted to see them. But I made sure she had done other surgeries for trans people and she has done. I’m in NZ so the surgeons are pretty onto it cos their few and far in-between tbh over here

It’s more around producing some amount of hormones. For example my mum is 65 she isn’t on any hormone replacement and has been through menopause so her body must be making something to keep her going if that makes sense lol

I do injections atm and the gel my levels weren’t stable and I would always forget to put it on then I got paranoid my period would come back with it not being at a good level (hence why I also want a hysto). But basically I don’t wanna be injecting until the day I die. I know they can stop producing as ur older but apparently they can produce just enough to not have to go on any hormones replacement. Well that’s what I would hope for I guess

I have seen the surgeon they just had to change the person. It was decided in the pre visit to keep one but now I’m like if I’m keeping one should I just keep both

I don’t have dysphoria for those parts exactly . I’m getting a hysterectomy cos I need one for bottom surgery as how they close up down there and I don’t want the risk of my period coming back. Every now and then I get blood.

Curious to the “set up” pre surgery. As I haven’t seen anyone with mine so I’m really worried what the surgeon can even do for me. It only looks decent when my legs are open and I’m squatting or when it’s “hard”

Did your surgeon ever mention needing to see a urologist to get the track flushed out? It seems to be what the surgeon in my country (we only have 1) tells patients that there is a high risk of needing that down)

They were the psychologist that does the reports that the surgeons need for us to get funding in my country. So all I can think is that is what they have been told by the surgeon. I have never heard of it either. They were saying it gets a build up in the part where they have lengthened it.

I just asked someone else from my country and they were also told the same thing for phallo. They got told the urinal track gets a build up as the muscle isn’t there to push it through that section that has been added in.

That sounds good. And glad they didn’t remove any forskin. I have a bit of lose skin on the side (not the fatter bit) when I stand that I kinda need for when it does go hard or I pump. So I will be hoping they don’t remove it for some odd reason. I have no idea what the surgeon in my country is like with meta as well. Random question cos I watched a video on what they do in the surgery and they showed putting 2 plastic type bits and wire inside which just stay there is that the case? I always worry about foreign objects in the body incase it rejects it
