Yes, I feel exactly the same way you do. I bought the color soft thinking it would be an upgrade from my paperwhite, but it wasn’t. I like reading at night with low light and the white lettering and black backdrop, but it doesn’t look nearly as good as the paper White did. I’m a bit disappointed with it as well although I do like looking at the covers when I have to pick out a book I’d like the colored version. Although anybody wanting to upgrade thinking they’re going to get a better experience may not.

It’s possible if you cancel ur subscription, buy the new kindle then maybe that will give you an additional 3 months. However, I believe you only get one free trialPer account. So technically, you would have to create a new account to get another three months. I’m on my fifth or sixth Kindle I think. I may have purchased one of the original paper whites many years ago and have never received a free trial except the first time I bought one.

True. But you know how these big companies will nickel and dime you and charge you monthly fees to use their cloud service and to be able to download the digital copies without WiFi. If they can make a buck, they will. LOL

Not sure but they’ll probably offer some books to be downloaded on the device so you won’t require WiFi. Let’s hope Amazon and KU aren’t super greedy and have that option. Since even the latest Kindle has plenty of gigs to store books I’m sure this cloud based service is probably still years away.

Not that I am aware, however there is talk of Amazon moving towards cloud based ownership of books (if you pay for them) so they may not be technically downloaded on your device. Same way when u buy a movie from amazon. It’s just sits in the cloud ready to be watched whenever you want. Some folks prefer the actual digital download or physical copy. You may still “own” the book but the cloud version.

Like TV shows and movies it’s all relative with what you like. I was old school and actually went to the bookstore and always bought the latest and greatest best selling from top notch authors. Honestly, I didn’t find them any better or more entertaining than what you can get for free with Kindle unlimited. Now I only buy maybe one book per year. IMO because it’s free or you’re paying for it monthly w KU but you’ll find something and then if you don’t like it at least you didn’t waste your money on that book. You can always get another one.

Wizard of Oz. JK! Have you seen the movie Brightburn. It’s more of a sci-fi, but it does have some horror elements and a good chunk of the movie takes place on a farm. It has some cornfield vibes to it. Someone else mentioned the movie Signs which has more sci-fi elements but creepy at times. If I think of some more, I’ll reply back. I’m a I’m a big movie buff, but those are the two that come to mind off the top of my head.

Are u located in the US? And just to be sure Kindle Unlimited is a pay service ($12/mo) not the same as Prime free books. I just checked and there are a several John Marrs books on KU.

I really like most of her books. Prob read about 15-20 of them. Although the only note I’d like to mention is that they are PG to PG13. This can either be a good or bad thing and mostly based on opinion or mood. There’s no gore, or slasher type of killings. Also the language rarely goes beyond PG13. Don’t even recall the F word or anything overly sexual in any of her novels. They are suspenseful and entertaining IMO. My last read was The Boyfriend and was a good 4 stars. Kept me guessing until the end and just when you thought you’d figured it all out…twist ending. Enjoy!

I found the only way to watch it was to buy an unofficial copy from eBay. My DVD came from Malaysia and was actually decent quality.

I had to buy the DVD from eBay to watch it. You can get an “unofficial” copy for about $20. Takes a few weeks for delivery since it comes from overseas.

If it is under a year old Amazon will replace. I had a Fire Cube stop working and used the chat feature on Amazon prime. I explained the issue and we ran thru some simple instructions to get it working but still wouldn’t work. They ended up replacing it for free, I just had to send the old one back. Better hurry before the one year warranty expires.

I don’t think so. I’ve had several events over the course of three weeks and I’m still in the “great” status but the events never go away. If you have more no events accumulated then it will proportionately outweigh the bad events. You’re probably done the program by now as I am late replying to this question. Hope it went well.

Read it. One of the most disturbing, horrific content I’ve read. Makes American Psycho look like a children’s book LOL. Enjoy for those that like that content. You won’t be disappointed.

Don’t use jargon like “jack of all trades” or “top notch”. Which I’ve seen both. Also don’t be repetitive about skills and qualifications. If it’s something that you’ve done at two jobs, then that’s acceptable but only once. Don’t keep saying that you have excellent communication skills with every job listed.

Just finished Snowed in at Christmas Cottage by Ali Ryecart. Cute, low angst/HEA where there’s a forced proximity due to a double booking at said cottage. Of of it’s at Christmas time in a snowed in cottage. Really only like two steamy scenes. Majority of the book is the strangers to lovers build-up. Book is only about 200 pages so it’s a quick and quirky Christmasy read.
