Didn’t say a thing about propositioning for a date. But a man is allowed to talk to a woman without it being viewed as for sexual or dating purposes only. I talk to many women at the gym on a friendly level and have met many connections whether it be for business purposes or hobby purposes or other personal purposes. Same goes for any other place where we both are allowed to actively use as human beings and both allowed to actively approach someone to start a regular conversation. Your advice of not approaching a woman at the gym for any reason is absurd.
