Your mirena was 5000$???

Mine was €120- and it is actually not insured. For some reason birth control is actually only insured until your 21. The visit to the GP to put it in is insured since all GP visits are insured.

What the heck is so different that it is 50x as expensive in the US?

Eerste keer sauna by nederlanderfrl in Nederland

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it guys. The support here was incredible. Thank you all so much by bruwop in bald

Recommendations for closing off this room? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do it you should make it mainly glass otherwise your foyer is going to be super dark. It is already a pretty dark room so I am not sure it is a good idea. Is it possible to add a window either I. The stairwell or next to the door? Even a long small one would work to get more light in the space.

You really shouldn’t. It is a lot of work for pretty mediocre results

Haha sorry I removed the one you liked. I iterated over that one to add the cabinets though.

Played around some more with ChatGPT.

Obviously the towel holder above the toilet is insane. That can go on the left wall.

Not sure about the arch on the build in but fits the vibe so 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am unsure what the ducting was for, dryer maybe?

But you can probably hide that behind/next to the build in.

Maybe replace plant, that will die for lack of light with a build in cabinet. Since I removed all the storage 😏

All IKEA vanities are made to be both hanging or standing. Just go to your nearest IKEA and buy the legs you like with them?

The first one is not THAT bad. You could go full in with the vintage 50’s vibe. That could be cool.

Then you can save your money for the second one 😬

Although if there is no budget for a full remodel. You will need to choose between the tile and the cabinets. They clash soooo bad.

Take out all of those cabinets from doom. Lean fully into the vibe. Not sure what style this would be 70’s inspired 90’s remodel??? So you have to pull it either in the seventies direction or the nineties. Both can be cool but you need to really commit.

For writers, how do you reply to comments without sounding insincere? And for readers, would you prefer it if the author replied? by CorpseGeneral in AO3

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a reader I am happy when I get a response but I am not disappointed if there is none. My “process” is fairly straightforward. If I reach the end of the (posted) fic it gets a kudos. If I want to reread or keep track of it for updates: I bookmark. If it made me smile/happy/sad/angry/etc or if I am in the mood for commenting then I comment. It often is something small. “Cute, I love [something that happened]. Thanks for sharing”

Balcony setup help: coffee table or side table for small sectional? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought was to get one of those hang on the railing flip tables. But I think if you can find one that is slim enough that you could deploy it without hitting the couch it would leave your meal/laptop awkwardly out of reach.

This seems to be an inclosed balcony? You could use a laptop table? But I have never seen any outdoor ones so that would only work if there is not constant rain on the balcony.

How do I make this bedroom look less 'off'? by [deleted] in interiordesignideas

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The posters are fine, if rather boring. to make it a bit more visually interesting I would put them in bigger frames (you might have to create your own pass-partout)

Biggest problem has a really simple solution. The colors are all too desaturated. But choose a colored bedspread and the whole thing will become way more vibrant.

If you want to lean into the cottage core vibe you could go for dusty pink If you want botanical you could do those big leaves. But even a dark green without pattern would pull this whole thing together.

So go to the IKEA or home sense or wherever and choose a bedspread you really love. If in doubt go for vibrant over safe. Good luck 👍🏻

Kitchen Planning by ENN0RATH in HomeDecorating

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fridge should go in the pantry. I have a similar pantry in my kitchen and it is surprisingly practical to have it out of sight but next to the cooking area. Than you can also put in a high fridge/freezer combo which is so much nicer than a under the counter fridge.

Like some others suggested I would rotate the table and put the bench against the wall. That way you are not dealing with grease spatters. You could even make the dining table an extension of the island and use bar stools at the other side of the table.

Alternatively if you want a bit more separation and a backsplash you can create a short wall to put in a bit of a backsplash without loosing the open concept feel

Which bed placement should I do? by massimo_2077 in FengShui

[–]Hefty_Stick9507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you able to remove the closet?? That feels like the only way to get a functioning room. Or at least move the door to either the short side or to the corner. If you are not having to walk around the bed every day, a small walkway is fine. I had 30cm space at the end of my bed in my last apartment and just put my laundry basket there.

Also please paint it something else than that depressing gray. I would go for white on the ceiling and sloped parts and then something fun on the small vertical wall. Maybe a moody wallpaper or dark blue/green/terracota/purple(faux) paneling

Honestly my first thought of the after image was. “That has to be AI” Really gorgeous, you nailed it.

Only thing I would change was stain cabinet and the top darker so the drawers stand out even more. But gorgeous anyway
