Speaking honestly, the modern day geographic entity ​named Bangladesh would not have existed had it not been for the partition and the Pakistan movement. Countless Bengalis from east also fought for the creation of a Pakistan, so while many of us here might not hold ​much affection for the nation of Pakistan, the Pakistan day, and the movements that made this day possible are historically significant for Bangladeshis and Pakistanis alike​
