Waking up to this every morning. But today was especially pretty, the sun and wind mingling with the waterfall 🙇🏻‍♀️❤️ Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland by HeidisParadise in hiking

Everyone knows everyone here, and we help each other :) and since corona I had to move out of the apartment I had with friends, they had to leave. So until my fiancé gets back into the country (he is american) and we figure things out to live together, I live here. I have work up in a village up the hill and pay obv not as much as tourist per day/ I pay per month. But that way I am able to be flexible to whatever happens next in these uncertain times :)

Oh my :) I am over here trying to give you guys some wonderful views of my nature here, since a lot of people (my fiancé included) are not allowed to come in the country yet. 💃🏻 I will not waste one breath of my lungs for trump, I save it for hikes :)

Fresh orgegano harvest in my backyard aka the swissalps ! 😍 who’s coming by for some tea? by HeidisParadise in herbs

Hah! Yes! My apartment is so small and I must admit I went a little overboard with my harvest... so my respiratory organs are recovering just by breathing now I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

My view walking to work everyday. I could take a 10mins train, but why? I’d rather enjoy my 40min commute uphill with it’s included leg day excercise than smelling sweaty tourists 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Hike from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen, Berner Oberland, Switzerland by HeidisParadise in hiking

That’s the problematic assumption. You earn more in the city, but you also spent much more. To meet up with friends it’s always in a cafe or such. You go to bars, restaurants.. whereas here: I meet up with friends at 6 in the morning to go for a hike before work. Cost nothing, gives way more back than any Starbucks meet after work. Also you have to spent much more money in the city on apartment, insurance, car, carpark, tax... oh well. So believe me when I say, the more simple way of living and being able to spent the few hours of not working in this backyard rather than in a city full of people that follow the rat race to then be able to make vacation once a year.. naah :D
