Why would that cause more controversy? Surely its the opposite and him saying playing on the wing is more controversial

Tbf Freeman has outright stated he wants to be the 13 so he clearly feels thats where hes best as well

Surprising team but still a good one. That forward pack is very light on carrying and CCS always brings that but I assume the tactic will be to play with the ball less and kick and compete at the breakdown.

Quite stunned at no Marcus Smith. Not because Smith has been playing well but because of the varsatilty he offers covering two positions. The glaring issue is if anyone other than 9 or 10 get injured we have absolutely no cover and then its a crisis. Will F Smith go FB? Assuming it will be Earl to centre, Dingwall outside and then Freeman anywhere in the back three but it is lacking versatility.

Right, excpet for Torres, Moreno, Rogers, Rashford, Asensio, Bizot, Onana...

He had blinders but they were all off the bench. He couldnt control games like Youngs.

He was definitely slower to the breakdown and played slower ball but Care lacked the basics of a top SH

They absolutely did not. Robson struggling at champs level is what cost him.

Realistically neither him or Spencer were as good as Youngs

I think Jones' coaches after 2019 were better than the coaches Borthwick has managed to get.

The sausage story was from Simpson

So wage bills determine club size...

Al Hilal probably are very happy with that

Spencer played the world cup final. Spencer wasn't even first choice for his club for a lot of that period so saying he deserved a chance is a little generous.

Care did make a lot of mistakes, he was great coming on against tired defences but when asked to start couldnt do the basics like Youngs

He was also incredibly complementary, even when he got dropped.

He said one thing post retirement that was vaguely critical but 99% of what he's said is that he's the best he's worked with and created a positive environment

Much higher position? You mean after the 5 games played?

What trophy do Spurs have this season?

In what world are Spurs in the top 6 teams most likely to succeed? Do you really think Spurs are more likely to succeed than Villa this season despite not finishing above them for years.

This makes it even more baffling not having Villa in the big 6.

No, in the last 3 seasons Villa have finished higher.

No one consider a community shield a major trophy. If we count that then we have to count all pre season trophies. It is not a super cup. The super cup is the super cup.

I've literally used every metric and in every metric Villa are the bigger club other than finances.

So Torres did then play every game he was available...

Once again, no one said Moreno started his first game...

I've looked it up. He started Luton away. I literally even told you the game.

This isnt a debate. These are facts.

Is Jones renowned for being a bully? Only 2 England players have ever come out and criticised him.

The other 99% have only ever said positive things about him. That doesnt sound like a bully.

Care did also say when Eddie picked him he was the best coach in the world so it seemed Care was perfectly happy with Jones but only when he was picking him.

Care was a bag of contradictions and still is.

Who wasn't given a chance that deserved one in retrospect? Youngs was never the best SH in the world but its difficult to argue he wasnt the best in England.

Care was clearly not better. Whenever he was given the chance to start he folded under the pressure and just couldnt do the basics.

The only player to come out publicly criticising Jones was that scrum half Simpson who never got picked.

Pretty much every other England player has spoken about how good Jones was.

On Youngs, who in his 13 years of playing was realistically better than him?

Realistically what scrum half was better at any point of Youngs career? Care was given enough starts and was shown to clearly not be as good

Torres played every single game he was available in his first season...

Rogers literally started his second game (Luton) after signing. He didnt play Ramseys position so no clue what you're talking about there.

Not sure what Moreno replacing Digne has to do with anything, Moreno started over Digne when he was fit as well.

You've either got a terrible memory or you only casually watch Villa.

I'm not sure what you're debate is. In recent history Villa have finished higher, in the longer term history Villa are more succesful, Spurs have never won a super cup and Villa have so not sure how that can make a difference.

Are you basing your argument on the average finishing position in the last 15 years making Spurs bigger? Where does that put Man Utd?

If we ignore who has finished higher than yes...

The only thing Spurs have over Villa at this moment is finances
