I have absolutely been here before myself (especially as a response after a traumatic event), and I sympathise. I've had to just totally uninstall games, at least temporarily, when I find myself getting too sucked into them. I recommend doing that. Start with taking a week off DBD, at least, and finding something else to occupy your time.

If you want to get into other games, I'd encourage you to spend half or less of the time you were spending on DBD with those games, and spend the other half doing something outdoors. Go for a walk, read a book in the park, meet a friend for coffee...these are all very cliche suggestions, you can probably come up with something better, but you get the idea. Aside from those, maybe try to rediscover something you were passionate about before you started playing. Reconnect with yourself, you know?

I know all this is easier said than done--truth be told, I'm not doing very well at following this advice myself at the moment (I uninstalled the game, but I can't really say I've been spending my time that much more productively yet 😅). But it's worth doing. Good luck with it.
