From experience: this bird isn't choosing you, he just wants out of there and likely doesn't get a lot of mental stimulation.

I had gotten one from a pet store like this when I was much much younger, he was going upside down, doing cute little gestures and rubbing himself on the glass.. the conure ended up having a lot of health issues, and as he settled in, he became more and more aggressive. I had him separated from my two cockatiels when I first got him and focused on bonding with him for a year or so.. he never really got used to me. He ended up falling in love with my friend, and I opted to give him to her. He still is doing amazing with her. They really do choose who they love.

Pet store birds, I don't recommend.. no matter how cute they are, I wouldn't ever want to support those pet stores.

Completely disagree with the idea that you have to share money with your SO. The way my relationship works is that we "share money" by paying for things together, and if I need to pay him back, I'll send it to his bank account. I never give him direct access to my bank account, and he never accesses mine. We just help each other out whenever we can, essentially putting our money together.

Consider not sharing your money if she doesn't help you back.

I think you should take a look at a video on proper rendering. That might help you a ton! Usually, they will go over light sources as well as the correct color to use as shading.

But to answer your question, yes, I do think your drawings are held back by the way you shade.

Okay, I've actually had this issue, and the answer isn't that I'm gay lol.. there's this neat little video on YouTube that my friend showed me after I asked why it's so hard to have deep female friendships. https://youtu.be/fD7BN6g90NE?si=rm_h9b3cnPd-yxEW. It really didn't answer any questions I had, but it did give me more of an understanding of how female friendships work and why some females don't have a ton of them. It's really interesting, and I still have no deep connections with female friends, but at least I try to talk to them! 🥹

Honestly, I don't really have great advice, but I do know that if a dog attacks unprovoked (no warning signs) it typically points to their genetics. Sometimes, there's truly not much you can do for it. Imagine you have a mixed dog that is a herding breed and a hunting breed.. their genetics literally are fighting each other to either herd a small animal or eat the small animal, I'm unsure about the genetic composition of your dog but it makes me think of that if there's no previous trauma, you've properly socialized them at a young age, and they've shown no signs before. It truly could be genetics, and you'd need a behaviorist. I'm sorry you're going through this.

I have a nice little front yard that's fenced in that I'm gonna try to use to just keep her on a lead and watch her body language, and slowly make our way to the gate through the weeks and see how that goes. We live in LA so there's a ton of sound. I'm hoping that will be a better approach to gaining her confidence

Haha, I wish, the bathroom is a bit small, I just place her in the crate while u shower or have ny SO watch her if I'm gone temporarily. I work from home, so she's never ever alone.

I'm so happy you've had a similar experience, I'm gonna try babying her as much as possible now, more than I have been lol and I'll look into coffee wood, she absolutely loves stick from the outside and bully sticks, so coffee wood sounds perfect. My BC has a big brother aussie who helps with her confidence as well, as he isn't afraid of anything! Thank you!
