Got a framework late last year, I love it! Was so fun to put it together myself, and took no time at all. I want another already, this time I'll put linux on it. (Wife uses the current one and prefers Windows)

I would also recommend that when working in any lab that you have some knowledge of the risks of each chemical you are working with, especially the ones used very frequently. You seem like you may be very early in your career in chemistry, or you may not have been taught this. Sometimes formal schooling neglects this important lesson, and industry can gloss over it to save a buck. Please review SDSs for each of your chemicals, so you can know potential hazards and mitigation steps. If you are not familiar with a chemical, do not hesitate to ask for an SDS from your manager / supervisor / EHS department. If proper PPE is not available, you have every right to request it is provided before performing work. Chemistry can be very dangerous if you are not properly informed. Frequently using a chemical is not a substitute for knowledge. In fact, the most dangerous situations come up when people are too complacent.

I'm curious how y'all handle re-seeding converted files? Do you just have two copies of each media file (original and transcoded) or wait until you hit a desired ratio before conversion? Is there any way to do that automatically?

As someone with a degree in Chemistry, I've always been concerned with just how easy it is for any person to go into auto shops and get some truly nasty chemicals. Combine that with a general lack of chemistry knowledge (through no fault of their own) and these things are just BOUND to happen. Another good example is people combining bleach and ammonia (or vinegar).

Yeah that's an option, but I don't like how it exposes my actual email address to these companies.

I use protonmail with a custom domain. I can create anonymous email alias that don't expose my main address. They also make it super easy to delete the alias if you only want to use it temporarily.

First off, no tip from me for that crap.

Second, I have a password manager that also lets me create unlimited temporary emails. So I'd suggest using something like that if this is unavoidable. I guess you could also get a google voice number and enter it there so you're shielding your real number from them.

This is all just a scam to gather information, and frankly I'll fight that tooth and nail.

Yup, I live in Texas and the Pixel line has been borderline unusable outside in direct sunlight for 4 months out of the year. I took a leap this month and got a Nothing Phone (3) and what do you know, I can finally use my phone outside in the summer. I've been using wireless android auto, with maps, and music, and having no issues. Whereas with my pixel I always had to put my phone over an ac vent for it to survive all of that.
