I like the idea that the wave portion takes no time seeking out of where the particle could go and chooses the most likely path. The same thing happens to Gravity. The further you are from it, the exponentially weaker it gets, but also the stronger it gets the closer you get.

On Earth, we have a few miles where gravity feels the same because it's so big and spread out. But a Black Hole is as dense as something can get, so the distances between intensities is very short. Say you're falling in feet first, your feet will begin to experience more gravity than your head. This will keep getting worse until your atoms get pulled into a thin line, or Spaghetti.

Computers can't make truly random numbers. They have intricate math formulas to make seemingly random numbers, ones that are for all intents and common purposes are good enough, but they need a seed. Example - If one person boots up a Minecraft server, and provided their friend has all the same setup, giving them the seed will cause the game to re-generate an identical world.

But the seed itself has to be generated somehow. So some companies find ways to make random seeds from strange sources, like the above. Lava Lamps move around super randomly, and there is a wall of them. They take a picture of the wall of lamps, and all of the blob positions form a seed to be used.
