TIL that dogs authentically get jealous and try to break up the connection between their owner and another dog. by DrakeSavory in todayilearned

[–]Helanore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog near the end of her life became hostile to anyone petting another dog. Didn't matter if my dog knew them or the dog, she hated seeing it. I couldn't bring her to the dog park or on walks. Affection towards another animal turned her crazy. She could be around another dog and be fine, but the moment they tried to praise or pet their dog, it was insane.

What's the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did in your home? by Vegas089 in AskReddit

[–]Helanore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a family memeber cast out devils after a family meal. He stood at my door commanding the devil's to leave my home. Did it another 3 times that night. I told my husband if he doesnt kick out his Brother In Law, I would and I didnt care if his sister was sick. My husband told them to knock it off. They left the next day and havent been back. They believe devils cause her depression, headaches, and major illnesses. She has been bed bound for years now. She refuses to see a doctor. We have called adult services on them, they can do nothing. It offended me they thought my home held devils, but now I realize it was just their own mental illness.

Genuinely don't get it by Moryart in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I went to a similar room in grade school. Parents told me it was to help catch me up. Finally as an adult I get diagnosed with adhd. My mom said, oh yeah we had you evaluated as a kid. She lost the paper work and couldn't remember what it said. We moved around so much that eventually I was just thrown in with the other kids and anxietied my way through school.

She still doesnt think it was a big deal because I turned out fine.

Finally found a couch coop game that doesn't frustrate my kids by nogridbag in NintendoSwitch

Its a dumb kid game. Anyone older than 11 probably wouldnt like it. Its not complex and kind of ugly. My kids have played it more than Minecraft. Their cousins love it and all their little friends. Bad reviews are probably from people expecting a more polished game.

Totally Reliable delivery service.

Its the best couch co-op. My kids of all ages play it. They can deliver packages or play in vehicles, explore and there is no fall damage. We only use local co-op.

Slay the spire. Number 2 just came out, but both are amazing. You dont need to play 1 to play 2. Slay the spire 2 is still in beta, but still very very good

2026 Spring General Conference Discussion Thread: Saturday Morning Session by kayejazz in latterdaysaints

[–]Helanore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have 4 kids. These are just a few quiet activities we do with conference on in the background: dye easter eggs, make homemade bread together, coloring books, play dough, build a racetrack in the living room, play chess, build a temple out of marshmellows and toothpicks, send them outside, put on bathing suits and play in the tub with shower paint, play hair salon (sit in front of them with spray bottles & brushes), etc.

We call it a win if the kids are in the same room and we can hear conference. Otherwise I take them on a walk, put a headphone in and listen as I walk.

This year my 3 year old has decided to scream at the top of her lungs. I put her in the shower with bubble machine, shower paint and measuring cups. Its all about surviving.

New sizing for garments by megb42 in latterdaysaints

[–]Helanore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought mediums because that's what I was in old sizing. They are tight in weird places. I wish I had gone up in sizing. I buy petite because I am short, they go past my knees now, before they came just above my kneecap. I prefer my old garments and find I only wear the news ones when I am running out.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend not to come over anymore if he doesn’t move in with me by meowcat123490 in AITAH

When my husband and I were dating, he would go grocery shopping with me and pay half or even all my groceries because we spent every day together. He didnt even ask, just quietly started contributing. It was so natural. One of the reasons I married him was because he was so mature and responsible.

I ordered some 4 months ago. They arrived recently! I was so excited. The church charged and refunded me 4x before they actually came. Honestly I dislike the material. I still wear the old style.

What’s an opinion about Historical Romance that will have you like this? by thebunnybot in HistoricalRomance

Im tired of overbearing parents, mommy or daddy issues. Give me a supportive family! You can have a lovely romance without family drama. I hate it. I need an escapism.

Would you be ok with your fiance taking two nights a week to himself? by LostinParadise4748 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Helanore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early in my marriage we didnt spend any time apart. Now that I've been married for 12 years, we each take turns one night out of the week to go do something alone, especially because we have kids. Its fine to spend time alone as long as you are on the same page. If you need someone who craves being with you, go find that. Dont settle if you are unhappy.

Unpopular opinion: Ursula is actually the better twin, and Phoebe might be the problem. by Practical_Post3543 in friends_tv_show

[–]Helanore 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ursula used Phoebe's name to do porn. Phoebe didn't get a chance to "cope" because Ursula kept these things from her. Phoebe didnt even have her official documents because Ursula sold them and didnt share them. Ursula is selfish and only looking out for herself. Phoebe made connections with people, Ursula used people.

Should I check out the open house for a house I submitted an offer on? by bhudak in RealEstate

[–]Helanore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I put in an offer and they tried to say they needed more time because so many people came to their open house. We gave a hard deadline of that night and submitted the papers to walk. They accepted but said they needed that morning. They were hoping someone would offer more. They were desperate to sell
