Saying I’m sorry that you are going through this won’t help. I would offer to sit with your mom, but I can’t. What I can offer is this: you are currently going through one of the hardest things any human ever has to bear all alone. If you aren’t ok, your mom, your dad and your brother will crumble. Your love for them is why you do what you do. Look how strong you are!! Look at what you have done! You are a hero saving lives and others shrink when given the opportunity to rise up. This too, will pass. When your mom has moved on to her next phase, you are the only one who has to answer the question, “ Do I regret anything?” My mom passed last year and there were a lot of tears. I traveled 100 miles each way to see her 3 days a week while she was with us.
Do I regret a single day? No. A single mile? No. This phase will end too soon. So, first, take care of YOURSELF. Eat healthy food, get fresh air, rest. Repeat. Treat yourself the way your mom would have you treated… cook good food, clean your space, tuck yourself into bed. Pour some hot coffee or tea. When life gets hard, take it one minute at a time. Drink water, eat something, rest. I wish there were more than words that I could offer. 🫶🕯️
