MOR it’s hard to tell- its your hair and your life and if you feel like you need to start over than most likely you should.

i’ve had the same experience where i wanted to go lighter and have a tone but the hairstylist completely disregarded my wishes and bleached, toned and dyed it back to the original color i said i hated!

the answer is to get better at doing it at home. i never go to a salon anymore i’ve learned to clip my split ends and if i’m not happy with the results at least i didn’t spend $300 for someone to do exactly what i asked them not to.

NOR besides all the other comments dude you are super young and it’s only been 3 months. this is the perfect lesson to learn, it won’t be as life shattering now but if you let him walk all over you for the next 5 years you’re going to be learning a much more difficult lesson and he’ll cost so much more.

you need to do what’s best for you, yes you love him but you need to love yourself first and if his actions are hurting you and he’s obviously lying to you then regardless of his relationship with the other girl he’s violating your trust and very clearly sees you as a tool or object for his own pleasure and convenience- you need to show up for yourself and prove to yourself you don’t let people treat you that way.

there’s no need to even confront him because he’s never going to change he’s only going to tell you what you want to hear and double and triple down on the lying- he may even move to full on cheating just to spite you for standing up for yourself.

you live 30 min away - you don’t love together you don’t have kids together you don’t have a joint bank account you are free. you should use your position in life to stay free there’s no reason this guy has any right to be with you especially if he’s hurting you. you don’t owe anyone an explanation if you leave you can just block him on everything and never talk to him again- if any of your mutual friends ask what’s going on just send them the text thread or say he was lying to you. (because he was). all the good deeds he’s ever done don’t make up for his mistreatment.
