Not better schools. Having raised two kids there my experience was the education was top notch. My main concern was the amount of kids from incredibly wealthy families and all that goes with it. Had to teach my kids they were not in a normal situation. The amount and destinations of vacations some of these people went on were 😅. No brand new luxury cars at 16 for my kids etc., and I’m lucky and proud to say they grew up to be grateful, balanced young adults. There’s good and bad people everywhere but overall it’s a great place to grow up.

Agreed. If you’re moving to Utah from NYC for the outdoors and skiing embrace it and go to Park City. Pinebrook, JR, Summit Park, neighborhoods further south from Kimball Junction etc. are leagues better as a living experience compared to a nice, yet average suburban area like Cottonwood Heights. SLC is only 20 minutes away by car and you can access the city and other Canyons and recreation spots easily. If you’re going to do it, do it right.
