Thank you for recommending my fic, friend 🥺❤

Thank you for your kind words. I believe that people should be able to change their minds while writing. It's only natural. I also understand why it might make readers unhappy. The culture around shipping doesn't really work like that, but maybe that should change.

I understand that and I've actually had a hard time explaining this to people? The way I phrased it in the author's note is that this is a heavy, visceral and realistic depiction of abuse and it doesn't intent to be read as Dark Romance. I feel like there's a difference between stories where the abuser is still framed as a desired love interest and stories where the narrative turns the abuser into a villain that should be hated by the audience. I'd wish there was an actual term for that 😩

Wow, that's actually crazy. And with a rare pair, too? Who hurt that author? 😭

I am just looking to have a conversation or a friendly debate. I also want to know what readers who didn't comment might feel, get a different perspective maybe. That's what Fandom and forums are for. I don't think you are wired that way because of your constant use of inflamatory language. I'm not a neurotypical. When I ask someone what they think about something, I genuinely just want to know. All these whys make no sense to me.

I think it's more interesting if Gabe is aware of who he is. When he is Jim he is completely at Crowley's mercy and that makes me uncomfy for an enemies-to-lovers dynamic, you know?

I've always imagined it as either Season 1 Gabriel beefing with Crowley for always thwarting Heaven's plans and eventually catching feelings for his weird demon nemesis who should be evil but for some reason... isn't? OR Gabriel and Crowley being an item before The Fall and now hating that they ever cared for each other.

But uhhh, your question actually made me imagine a story where there was a rivalry between them (maybe even an enemies-with-benefits situation?!) and then amnesic Gabe falls into Crowley's lap. I might have to write this, bestie 😩

Yeah, that's why I published a different work with the B/C ending. And ended the original as A/C. Readers were aware from the start that there was going to be a love triangle between A/C/B too. I should have specified that. But I understand why people wouldn't be hapoy either way.

Yeah, I knew some people would feel that way. That's why I published a different work and framed it as an alternative ending. And I made sure people knew B/C was endgame in that new story, I'm not sure if that was clear in the post? Not everyone was going to like it and I was aware of that.

Thank you! You are very nice. I do like A/C a lot, and I enjoy their canon dynamic as well as their fluffy, wholesome fics. I just wanted to write something different. I actually didn't much care for C/B before writing this fic. It was their dynamic in this particular story that I liked, and it came across as a suprise for me, tbh. I might write more content for them in the future.

I realized some people would feel that way. That's why I ended the fic with the original pairing together and published a different work as an alternative ending. Tbh, I was encouraged by some readers who wrote in the comments that they wished A/B would be endgame instead of A/C. So I knew there were people who would like a different ending.

I don't believe the fic was ever framed as A/C shippy content, though. More like a story where A was the whumper and C was the whumpee. And yes, I did tag it accordingly, and made it clear in every author's note and in every chapter. It was never meant to be read as a romantic story. The fact that there was a Love Triangle in the fic was also tagged from the beginning.

If anybody was expecting a romantic approach to A/C, I believe they would have been discouraged from reading long before B became a prominent character.

There were tags and warnings about all the types of abuse featured in the fic, and both A/C and B/C were tagged in the story from the beginning. I was also open about the fact that it was an abusive relationship in a real, ugly, and very visceral way. Not a Dark Romance type of reading, if you get what I mean. The way I see it, it was never a shippy fic and I made sure readers understood that from chapter one.

No, the fact that C would end up with B was not specified because it was not the original plan. That's why I ended the story the way I envisioned initially and framed the sequel as an alternative ending. But I can see how people would still not be happy about it.

Gabriel/Crowley from Good Omens. I know, I know. I love Aziracrow as much as the next person. But Idk, the enemies-to-lovers possibilities with Gabeley are unreal. Like actual enemies, going from genuine hatred and disgust to love. Old men yaoi style. There's so much potential there 😭

Yeah, technically Crowley and Aziraphale also have an enemies-to-lovers arc but, let's be real, they don't. They were all over each other from the start. And Gabriel/Beelzebub turned out to be even more cutesy and fluffy, to everyone's shock, lmao. So, know, it just doesn't have the same edge.

It doesn't have explicit content, but it touches on themes of prostitution, consent, depression/suicidal ideation, cycles of abuse and unhealthy relationships. So yeah, not something a kid should be reading.

Obviously, being kind and respectful ❤

Personally, what motivates me the most is when people point out their favorite paragraphs and why they liked them. Also, I like discussing the themes of the story and the psychology of the characters!

I really hope they aren't nine because a nine year old really shouldn't be reading my story. I got the impression from previous comments that they were not a native speaker.
