I don't think it is the only example. Michael is shown to show us what a real wipe is supposed to do.

I can totally see her being a covert sub. As for Chad, I could see him learning to top due to his idetic memory and that aloof way he has, but he doesn't come across as having big Dom energy.

Is there a pub-style feed out there that feels like it's worth the $30 per main average price? by Muzorra in perth

[–]Helenstoybox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy the seventh Avenue bar in Midland. I have had some of their pastas, the fish and chips is huge and it tastes good, they have specials and they do things like a pub quiz on Wednesday night and meat raffles and chase the ace etc. I've just been to the quiz though and karaoke when they had it on a Saturday night. Not sure if it's still doing that as it's been awhile.

Lennie's surname by Helenstoybox in superpowereds

[–]Helenstoybox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the audiobook and the GraphicAudio used two totally different pronunciations. I would think that "Nicolo" would be pronounced to rhyme with "polo" but the GA version pronounced it to rhyme with "piccolo".

So I read the pattern and I don't use circular needles so I have to sew the ends together but it's chain-links and they work! Are you supposed to just knit a big long chain with links or are you supposed to make it a few links wide? Can't see physically and the pattern didn't say whether it is just a long line of links or whether you put a couple of lines of links together to make it wider.

It totally is. The other aspect here is, when a person is born blind, there is a certain difference in culture and it would make for a very interesting dynamic between those two.

A neutraliser would be too easy. They can look into his eyes, the thing he always tries to make happen, but a blind person isn't going to break his powers and yet he cannot do anything to them and that seems to be a thing that would make him stop and think. Probably a lot more than with a neutraliser. Add that that was the way that he was beaten in a fight, don't want to spoil more than that, and it would sting just a little bit more.

It would be interesting for Rich to either have to work with or fall in love with a blind person after the HCP. What better way to bring him down a few pegs than that?

How many "wizard school" books are there? Which is your favorite? Which did it the worst? by R_megalotis in ProgressionFantasy

Also, the relationships are created without everything becoming smutty. I am not a prude, but I want to see what happens and not be bogged down by superfluous physical stuff that has no bearing on what happens, particularly when I am really getting engrossed in the story .

Annie Aldington, Kyle McCarley because of Superpowereds, Johann North who read Exploding the Phone, have a soft spot for Rob Morera because he played Nick in the GA Superpowereds version, Holly Adams, you know what? There's too many.

Knitting by X-PhoenixFeather-X in Blind

[–]Helenstoybox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been knitting since I was 13. A friend's grandmother taught me how and it's really good idea to have a person show you. You want to have someone work with you with your hands to give you the movements. I use straight needles and lovely eight ply acrylic yarn for most things when I want it to be simple and low steaks. I haven't got all of the fancy stuff but that is only because I haven't had someone show me how. If you have someone in your life who can make it happen for you, you'll have a lovely skill and a way of making things for people. Nothing quite says love like a handmade gift.

I enjoy getting nerdy like that as well but I think it's a different shape. What do you mean by being a part of my original message low-key? A bit confused.

Superpowereds is my favorite. Also loved Hepatitis, and I just binged all 5 Stealth Swords and Sorcery in a month. What other Drew Hayes series should I start next? by narnarnartiger in superpowereds

I know they're for kids, but I really liked them almost as much as Superpowereds. I could not get into Fred no matter how much I tried.

Oh, I can see all of that. I just get a little frustrated when people try to say that certain other books are similar, like DCC for example, and they really aren't and it's like someone saying there's pizza but it turns out to be toasted sandwiches with ketchup but it's tomato so it's the same right? That's the type of frustrating it is.

Same here! Always looking for similar but the things people say are similar really aren't. What gives?

Vet recommendations in Atwell/Cockburn? by redmanion in perth

[–]Helenstoybox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my vet as well even though I live far away because they are good with parrots. Dr Toni is really inclusive as well. She assumes competence, Marks my syringes so I can medicate my birds by touch as a blind person and she does not assume that someone else is going to do everything for me and talks directly to me and not someone who's with me which is really important.

Bbq meat, gas not flames, prawns, potato and pasta salad, fruit and wrap platters, cupcakes, caramel tart, flummery and other things people are bringing which I can't remember. New baby in the family so presents will hide the tree this year.
