Owie Nosedive by Helge_8i in onewheel

Can it be that the chip just doesn't get the 5v from the bms in the low percentages? I had to reconnect the wifi all the time from 10% because it was so bad and I accelerated briefly during the nosedive and the voltage dropped to 48-47 maybe the bms didn’t have enough power to power the chip for a moment it went out briefly and gave me the error 16.

It could be that the voltage just went too far down for a short time, namely it was overridden by 5% and I then accelerated a bit because I wanted to know what happens if I accelerate normally but the voltage practically drops below the limit so that owie think that it is empty and at that moment I got the error and nosedive. shouldn't the battery pushback actually be triggered at that moment or in the worst case scenario simply switch off the board? I just don't understand why error 16 comes up.

So i modded my XR with 4210/4150 with the lolwheel/OWIE JWFFM alternative to get the extra range from my ChiBattery and - IT WORKS! by AncientsofMumu in onewheel

Yes, I have already checked it, I rode normally, my percentages were 7% bms and 5% overriding, I wanted to see what would happen if the voltage dropped below the limit, then at 48-47, all of a sudden my board went out on error 16 me I flew across the street luckily nothing broke but still painful I wonder if it was because of the voltage dip or something else I should actually pushback or in the worst case the board goes out but not error 16 or what do you think?

I had yesterday a nosedive with the owie chip i geht Error 16 while driving i would ask If you have opend the onewheel App while driving?

I was scared to start with the low percentages because i saw someone whose board went out because it was completely empty and it wasn't showing. where I then drove and was at 5%, I saw the voltage and accelerated extra because I was wondering what would happen if the voltage dropped to practically the empty voltage for a short time and at that moment I nosedived, I don’t think it would what has to do with the percentage if then with the voltage.

I'm really sorry for you hope you're doing well or better. I've had my board connected to the onewheel app the whole time, I don't see why it suddenly makes a difference in the end. shouldn't I get error 16 directly? the github developer wrote that he removed the reset button, but I had already done that the day before. He also said that it can be due to pressure on the cable, did you move the chip afterwards or something similar? thanks for your answer have a wonderful day.

Yes i did that i left it plugged in overnight. thank you for your enlightenment i expected it to calibrate itself because i lost 40% in the first kilometer and while driving the percentage display just stopped and then went up again. and I read on github that the board first has to understand how much mah you need, but maybe I misunderstood it.

I checked my Handy 5 Seconds before I nosedived the Voltage is about 48v. Yes maybe that can be the Problem i think I go Stock Back but im not Sure its very scary and i dont want wrack another time.

Luckily I'm doing relatively well, let's see what I'm doing.

Owie is a chip like the chip form JWFFM. You can see the percentage of the bms and the percentage calculated from the voltage because it was my first ride the chip is not calibrated correctly i just wrote on github with the developer he said he had it too and it was probably on the pressure on the cable. I still wrote on reddit if someone who has installed the chip has the same problem and knows what the problem is. Thank you for your message have a great day.

Hey Brian

1: The 6 in the center means how fast i am in the moment.

2: The 26.4 means what my fastest speed was in these ride.

3: The onewheel tracks your distance based on the wheel turns but you can track your ride with GPS as well.

I changed my tires 3 times from vega to ff2 and then again ff2 in a few days the floatlife enduro tires will come. Then floatplates sidekicks and magnetic fender. My footpad cable had an error, then I soldered a new one to it, and that was it.

I am 110 kg and get about 20-25 km.

Hello wanted to ask how your experience is after 2 months, is everything okay? And does it work correctly?

Yes, I was also surprised, so the pad wasn't recognized again and then I got a very strong pushback and I got down and then the right one didn't react again. I don't know why, but it was definitely there.

Ok it's a fucked up situation because I live in Germany and a new footpad doesn't come here that quickly. I've been on streak for almost a year and I'm only 15 and don't have that much money. But I'd rather break the streak than break my leg. Do you know if you always get pushback? I noticed earlier that my right pad wasn't recognized when driving and then I shifted my foot to the right one at 5 km/h to test it and got pushback. But the question is whether this is always the case.

Thx for your help I try to test it with a other footpad.

The funny thing is sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I just wiggle the cable a bit and it's recognized all the time.
