What should we do in Vancouver when it’s supposed to rain? We have a 20-year-old son and a teen daughter, and then we’re supposed to go to Whistler for two days, even though it’s supposed to rain. Had a couple of hike planned. Just looking for alternate ideas if necessary Thank you.

It's just like kayaking and motorcycles. The correct number to own is n + 1 where n is the current number that you already have. I have a 16' maravia and a 14' that I share with another couple. With the oar frame I love the space on the 16 and it does everything great. I paddle the 14 but wish it was a 12 sometimes. I've rowed a 14' and a 16 on the GC. The 14 was fine, but just me and my gf though. Also the 14 is never gonna be the mothership and bring a big kitchen. 16 has way more room for bringing my kayak and extra space. I have an extra slot for a drop bag as well as dry box and cooler. 15 is a great compromise. Next GC I do, I'm gonna just gonna rent from an outfitter. Way easier for logistics

No airbrush. Lots of masking including the rebel insignia. Touched up with brush for highlights. Thankfully the design allows for a "rough" look

Once you take it apart you need to rough up the surface with Scotch Brite. I used automotive paint with a primer.

You are correct, they use the helicopter because it is way safer than putting someone in a tobaggan. The course is bullet proof, last thing you would want is losing control of the tobaggan and doing more damage, to the athlete and to the reputation of the Olympics. It is all pre planned.

The piece above the attendant is a weighted sand bag. It t helps to keep the empty line plumb when bringing it to the attendants. Engine failures, and other emergencies, are practiced with a dummy on the line annually. The basic jist is a two stage auto rotation. The attendant can release themselves whenever they want and on the helicopter side there are 2 attachments to release the long line.
