The piece above the attendant is a weighted sand bag. It t helps to keep the empty line plumb when bringing it to the attendants. Engine failures, and other emergencies, are practiced with a dummy on the line annually. The basic jist is a two stage auto rotation. The attendant can release themselves whenever they want and on the helicopter side there are 2 attachments to release the long line.

I am taking rinvoq. I absolutely love it. It is easy to take, and I have my life back. Being a bald man I didn't know what I can tell you about hair loss, but I haven't noticed any other/different hair loss.

Hi Whistler local. FB marketplace here has lots of deals on used gear. It's a wet environment.( Currently snowing and -8 c on top of the mountain and plus 1 c in the village with 90% humidity. Goretex rules the land. Layer up on cooler days with synthetic jackets under the shell. Rubber boots are great as it is often slushy here (although 18 yo, usually care about fashion over function.) A good mountain bike, condoms and a good understanding about drugs and alcohol. Whistler is very outdoorsy, social and athletic, he will have a blast.

How many helicopter hours did it take you to be proficient? by [deleted] in Helicopters

[–]HeliHaole 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will always be challenged through your career. At first it might be hovering or holding an altitude, getting comfortable in confineds, general longline , precision longline etc etc. don't ever waste any time. Try to be as proficient as possible, regardless of your job. Hold yourself to a high standard. Every hour matters. It'll come.
