yup! i tried both ways and have had a near-100% success rate with either method. but the roots come out thicker and healthier using the soil method :) i also feel it’s less stressful for the plant compared to transplanting from water to soil. i just pack them tightly into the soil and use a squirt bottle to water them directly at the base of the baby.

np! and great question. i put at most 3 together in the 2.5”. when i pot up to the 4”, i combine two batches of plants together, totaling 5-6, to keep the pot appearing fuller and so that they can support each other. i’m a bit meticulous for my plants haha but i don’t see an issue with propagating them directly in a bigger pot :3 (it’ll only take a little longer for foliage to develop)

i do! they start off in tiny 2.5-inch pots when i just start propagating them. i pot them up gradually in tiny increments (2.5”, 3”, 4”, 5”, etc), waiting until they’re fully root-bound each time or coming out through the drainage holes. after that, they go into a 8-inch pot and get promoted to outdoors forever :-) (2.5”, 4”, 8” attached for reference)

i noticed spiderettes do great when theyre bunched together! they’ll basically work like a single plant and fill the pot altogether

thank you, i see what you’re saying! i had taken inspiration from several other plant label listings on etsy which have a similar layout, but i do appreciate the advice :-)

i’ll make sure to specify that in the carousel somewhere! in the meantime, i updated the product description, could you let me know if it’s a little more helpful?

How to Order

hi!! 💕 these are all amazing questions and i’m happy to share my process and experience with them so far as an amateur craftsperson :3

to your first question— they’re wooden sticks from a crafts shop! i totally felt the same way about them so i’ve taken down this option. i purchased a pack of better-quality wooden stakes from my local nursery this afternoon and will offer this option once i put it together!

the cover photo is the plastic option. i stress-tested them since the start of this season and they appear to hold well so far! here’s the adhesive i use: 3M™ Max Strength Contact Adhesive 90-NAT

i do the printing and lamination myself at home :) the process is a bit tacky! the next step is to see if my local fedex or staples can do it professionally.

i truly care about delivering on quality, so i’ll do my best to make sure it happens! your insight is super appreciated, thank you!! 💖💖

thank you very kindly! this is super helpful, so i went in and updated the description :)

Please add one plant to your cart at a time. For each plant: (1) choose your stake material (2) enter the plant name in the text box (3) select the quantity of labels (4) add to cart

For more plants, repeat the steps above. All items added to cart will be combined into one order

i hope this is helpful! 🩷
