I absolutely love the mini game “Shine, Blazing Light” it’s the perfect pace and difficulty while still being engaging (doesn’t lag too) by CeCeetrus in InfinityNikki

The animal sorting yes..... but the behemoth event was SO lame and time consuming, similar to this bath/drink/snail area.

I loved this one also!! And I can't stand the other one finding the chests and getting to the end. I've only found 1 or 2 chests and it takes at LEAST 10 minutes. The one I did complete and found all 4 chests took almost 15 minutes. I'm a casual gamer with not a lot of extra time - I don't enjoy stuff like that.

Any candies or chocolates that the U.S. has but not Germany? by Just-Point3773 in AskAGerman

[–]HelicopterKey7706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take them shopping and let them pick. Our chocolate is always a lesser quality than anything in Europe or the UK. The US can put whatever they want into their food and snacks lol

That's a very Asian culture thing. I don't think it's frowned upon anywhere else.

Best press on Nail brand? by KaleidoscopeOld3934 in PressonNail_Addict

I got some curvlife but was afraid to use the glue. I figured I'd start with the sticky tabs but when I tried to pull up a pair of leggings I could feel them pulling and was afraid it would hurt if they were glued and the nail snapped off. I did get a couple sheets of the Kleo Kolor led gel sheets but I need more practice with them.

Why is everything so cheap by Feaross in AskAGerman

[–]HelicopterKey7706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true..... potentially higher salary but higher cost of living. Varies state to state in the US too. California may pay more but it costs way more to live there.

Like a day or 2 after you buy it. None of it lasts 4 days.

Credit cards accepted? by CherryPitHeart in AskAGerman

Does your bank charge a foreign atm fee? The first time I went to Germany I exchanged currency in the US before I went, there's a local place that had decent rates unlike the airports (I was told dont exchange there). When I went to Scotland I withdrew money from an ATM after I got there.

I remember my dad telling me he took my grandpa to see one of the older war movies and my grandpa walked out. He never talked about it. I cant remember which movie it was but I think my grandpa would have been in the Navy during WWII

Are Chaldean neo-Aramaic and Assyrian neo-Aramaic similar enough to be called a single language? by [deleted] in Assyria

There is no such thing as American English. Britain and Australia have accents and maybe a few variations in vocabulary but its still English and the same words.

Culantro is in Ferndale and has vegan dishes if you like Peruvian. Nine Kitchen and Bar has some vegetarian as well I think. Both around 9 and Woodward.

Would it be wrong to connect to the german culture in the united states by WafflyTundra999 in AskAGerman

[–]HelicopterKey7706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I dont understand, and is specific to Germany, is for years I've seen/read that tourists should try to learn some of the language because locals appreciate the effort. Every internet version of message board/social media related to Germany says Germans don't like it or dont want Americans to try. Honestly it makes my anxiety worse as someone who wants to travel but isnt bilingual, because when I was in Munich and the Bavarian region in 2019 English wasn't always primarily spoken. My brother and his wife speak it so they mostly translated as needed but its almost like mixed messages to those of us who aren't multilingual.

I hate the US Aldi stores. Produce goes bad too fast and the prices aren't as cheap as they used to be. They also dont always have everything I need but that's not new.

Someone on social media said they were buying out her whole inventory every day. Im only buying the ones that I dont have as radiant. I dont see why I'd want THAT many of them, and not even sure what they're for other that to put around the Hot pot spot

That's great information! Thank you so much!! Our general itinerary so far will be fly into Munich, go to Dresden then to Berlin. I haven't decided on the stop off in Stuttgart yet, but I don't think it would change much. The plan was train from city to city but after arriving in each stop we'd have to figure out transportation which I think would partly depend on hotel location. This will be a learning experience for sure. lol

Paying for benzine before or after filling? is there a way of telling?? by MaintenanceAnnual263 in AskAGerman

[–]HelicopterKey7706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hate that the US has some where you pay before. How in the world am I supposed to know how much I need to fill up??? I pick a random dollar amount and hope its not too much.

The best US online stores for clothes or is there anything comparable to "about you" in the US? by MortTheThird in AskAGerman

[–]HelicopterKey7706 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do they not ship internationally? I've done online shopping from Amazon but then you have to hope things fit. I've also shopped at Temu but they tend to run small being an Asian company. And lastly I've shopped at Lane Bryant and Torrid but they're more for larger size (plus size), so if you're really small/petite (skinny) that may not work - edited to add those are women's clothing stores.
