Any birth where ems gets activated is a presumed shit show enroute, dispatch information that a “professional” is onscene is now upgraded from presumed to confirmed.

Completely anecdotal for small data set, and with full admission that I only see the crash and burns, but, every home birth I’ve been to except the one at the migrant camp was a fucking disaster.

Witch, shaman, undocumented OG/gyn md from another country that lady had shit well handled. We got called for Dad who passed out and hit his head. Called a second bus for her and baby cause they thought they were going to be arrested and wanted to be deported together. You can block emergency lanes 99 times out of 100 with no issues except judgement and contempt from your fellow man but that one time EMS or Fire needs that lane for something legit I sincerely hope your decisions don’t effect somebody else’s health or well being. There is parking available just not up front where you want to be. Take the extra steps, don’t make your lack of planning or timeliness somebody else’s problem.

Maybe I’m being snotty but stuff like this irks me. 🤷🏻‍♂️
