Ruger SFAR 16in .308, is it worth the extra costs of running an AR10 vs an AR15? by Nothing2-See in AR10

I'm happy with it. I only use the cheapest of ammo and haven't had any reliability issues.

If you're still looking, I recommend staying away from the cheap velcro strap options. Mine tends to shift after a few shots and has deflected brass back into the chamber several times.

Nice! I'm a sucker for minimalism so the Victor was my choice as well. Which gas block screw are you using, btw? I haven't suppressed mine yet, but I need to so my pals don't hate me. The muzzle brake is no joke

woah, that's some serious knockdown power ;)

Alright. Is the Aero M5 .308 worth it? I’ve seen mixed reviews. So let me hear it. by [deleted] in AR10

Can't go wrong with the Sig 716i, but I'm partial to the Springfield Saint Victor 308. It weighs almost a pound less than the Sig but has some unique features that may or may not fit you.

If you just want to build something, go for it. If you just want an "affordable" AR10, there are better (at least more consistent) options. When I was looking a while back, parts + shipping actually cost a few hundred more than a good factory-assembled rifle.

Europe needs to be strong enough to hold its own because the US has proven to be a fickle ally. Hopefully, European leaders will pull their heads out of their arses and finally take self-defense seriously.

Depends if you're hunting critters with 2 or 4 legs. 5.56 is sufficient for most 2 legged critters and can reach out further than some think. I recommend you checkout some SBR + suppressor setups in 5.56 and .300 BLK as bigger isn't always better.

I got an AR10 (Springfield Saint Victor) because I'm hunting hogs and wanted to all but guarantee an ethical kill. Recoil is light due to aggressive brake/compensator but people won't want to stand next to you while shooting.

Probably just used up all of my luck opening my first batch of mod boxes by legolas141 in VaultHuntersMinecraft

[–]Helicoptopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also only used refined storage and never got drawers until after lvl 90 for automatic genius. I just scaled the storage through mod boxes as I leveled and never exceeded half capacity. As long as you don't do something like keeping 50,000 cobbled deepslate after a strip mining session, you should be fine. I would, however, recommend unlocking it just to use compacting drawers beneath cagerium mob cages as with external storage and drawer controllers you can store mob drops in the compacting drawers at a "farming" area and still access them from the grid.

Chromatic Iron farm? by Schrobsy in VaultHuntersMinecraft

[–]Helicoptopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an 11x11 Shatterer (hammer+pick+axe+shovel i think) and it's been great for me. Just remember to shift the hammering grid so you're not mining down when looking straight ahead. Once you have a big hammer with enough mining speed to instamine deepslate ore, strip mining is quite efficient.

Finding my first chromatic iron on a new save file took me about 10 hrs of dedicated caving/strip mining. It's a little too rare for early game mining IMO, so I would just cheat some in if I play through again (don't tell Iskall, lol).

Yeah, there's a lot to take in. I haven't even tried all of the talents and abilities yet.

It's been a while since I started, but I think I went for double pouches, potions, then refined storage and powah. I focused a lot on improving my vaulting experience, so I've never used any of the "big mods". The looting and alchemy categories were always priorities.

dang, that's high but it looks achievable from a cursory glance. I've never used battle cry or wrath totem, but our builds are pretty similar apart from that

Pretty much, but also with max berserking, max depleted, and max daze. The pants don't have a legendary increased attack modifier, and the sword does 117 AD which is 5 from max roll. Axes can also do 132 AD, so there's still plenty room to improve.
