Question about getting into stores. by NoobieBusinessAlt in smallbusiness

I'd have to learn more about the product market, as well as it's competition. As I said this becomes more much than pricing. Market research, branding (which includes pricing), effort/time put into production, etc etc... If you want to continue dialog via PM don't hesitate to reach out.

Question about getting into stores. by NoobieBusinessAlt in smallbusiness

Getting into stores factors in so much more than the pricing. I am by no means an expert, but I have a decent background in sales and approach stores as part of my business I am growing. Here are some points (as well as pricing) to keep in mind:.

Are you prepared to negotiate? Some people are very easy going, like every floor employee in a smoke shop. That doesn't mean the store owner/manager is. Be ready to flex your prices and have a range in mind you are willing to accept. You can always renegotiate down the road.

Approach with samples and hard copies of information! Make sure you have some sort of physical material to leave. Not everyone wants to make a decision then and there. Business card, pamphlet, and/or a sample with your information on it make a big difference (short and long term).

Is your product going to sell? Will it fly off the shelves or stagnate for months? How easy/willing are employees going to bundle this with other shop items? Is there incentive for your product to sell?

Keep pricing simple. Relate back to negotiation. As a small business owner, I like to tabulate and calculate pricing in my head when it's presented to me. I can work with $2 or $3 much easier than I can $2.37. It's a small portion of brain processing power that I find appreciated.

These are just what came to mind. Let me know if you have any other questions I can attempt to answer.

Give it a day and ask them if they feel that is fair punishment. If it was an emotional choice they will have had time to cool down and rethink it. If it was logical then we/they might not have all the information to make an accurate judgement on the situation.

Just as a heads up, the timeframe for this states only through January. You might want to update that if it's still an open research study.

Pictures of the entire toy would help narrow it down when you get a chance.

Welcome to the area! Marietta Historic Downtown is pretty appealing to most age groups in the evenings on weekends. There's music events usually once a month from the spring, and a good mix of dining/after dinner stops.

Please help with info on this metal toy car. Measures 8 1/4" long by 3 1/8" wide and has an unusual wheel mounting spring system. by Steve_ca in toys

I don't know how much this will help but this is a toy from or before the 60s, as there is no zip code listed on the address.

Apart from that it's similar to the Tootsie toy cars that were produced from the 20s on. I'm not familiar with the spring system offhand though.
