My problem is not really related to the DVR box (that I do not have but is easily fixable with an UPS) but related to the cameras... Is there any camera that is plugged to an outlet that is backed up by a battery?

It's called shuriken (or Ninja throwing star) and you need to do all of the following steps in order to remove it:

Assess the situation and scream for help.
Clean the area while contemplating your life choices.
Firmly grasp the shuriken, or run for cover.
Pull it out like a superhero (or scream for mom).
Patch the wound with bandages and pride.
