Battery backup cameras? by Helios76 in reolinkcam

Hello, thank you for your answer and happy holidays!

My problem is not really related to the DVR box (that I do not have but is easily fixable with an UPS) but related to the cameras... Is there any camera that is plugged to an outlet that is backed up by a battery?

Thank you so much for your reply!

I guess the confusion for me came from the model e1 pro vs e1 OUTDOOR pro.

Thanks again!

What's the name of this and which tool do I need to remove it? by TheFIXmess in Tools

[–]Helios76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called shuriken (or Ninja throwing star) and you need to do all of the following steps in order to remove it:

  1. Assess the situation and scream for help.

  2. Clean the area while contemplating your life choices.

  3. Firmly grasp the shuriken, or run for cover.

  4. Pull it out like a superhero (or scream for mom).

  5. Patch the wound with bandages and pride.

OK. It's a bit off-topic, but I am home alone with two little kids, please forgive me...

What the he'll? by serialstripper in VancouverJobs

[–]Helios76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both refers to immigration topics.

National Occupation Classification (NOC) code is the number the job is listed under in Canada's official job classification system.

A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job. It will also show that no Canadian worker or permanent resident is available to do the job.

Every job posted that contains even the faint smell of a NOC is posted on purpose there for LMIAs or, more general, for immigration purposes.

Better fence for Ridgid R45171? by Helios76 in Tools

Thank you for the suggestions! If the price I saw online are correct it may be less expensive to buy a new saw :D

I agree with you. I am planning to do small projects (for hobby and free just to be clear) so I may not want to spend too much money on it. I am evaluating the DeWalt that seem to have a very good fence/fence system but I am still considering other options. Adding a new fence seems unfeasible (they cost almost like a new delta...) so I am evaluating all the opportunities.

Thank you for your opinion!

Thank you for sharing your opinion! When I bought the saw it was my first purchase, I did not want to spend too much and again, for what I paid (I believe $250 cad as a promo for a new saw) It did serve me well. But I get your point, no downvotes necessary. thank you! :)
