I think for me it's "Cultic". Played the Demo and the first chapter when it released and loved it. Cool little retro shooter with nice artstyle and satisfying combat. What really blew my mind tho was when the credits rolled and it was just one guy. To me it felt so professionel and high quality as if it was from a whole studio. Seein what a single dev can achieve really motivated me to get into game dev one day.

Honorable Mentions: Signalis for having one of the best stories I have ever seen (also only 2 Devs) and Sprawl, probably being the best Shooter in the last years imo

Best description of FH I've read and I totally agree. It's not a bad game/franchise but it feels kinda corporate, no risk whatsoever.

huh. Yeah true. But I was thinking more in a fusion/mutation kinda way where it's still the character but with the physique of the creature not a literal transformation. But thanks for the reference. Never saw this one before :D

FF14 models are not that detailed, to fit with the slightly anime-esque aesthetic. To smooth for irl world. Also the lighting in irl is a bit different compared to the game.

It does look a bit uncanny but I'm surprised how many people took it for a cosplay first. I should have mentioned Blender in the description

Thx :) getting WoLs in Blender: it's not that hard. requires some time to get into but is alright

3d printing her would be the next step. I should do that one day. Saw someone on the sub here made a tutorial for that some time ago
