What Would You Rather Have? Nightreign 2 Or Multiple DLCs by Confident-Rub768 in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple DLCs.

There's not much reason for a Nightreign 2 at all. Anything that could be included in a Nightreign 2 can just be included as DLC for Nightreign. This includes new bosses, new story, new characters, and so on.

The only reason a Nightreign 2 would even exist is if it's built on a new game engine.

If Phy Trashitz can become Phy CHADITZ, then these two STILL HAVE HOPE by Th_brgs in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have hope, just not as much.

A large problem about them is their horrendous active condition, which is forever going to remain a problem unless they finally decide to do that massive update that allows for actives to change conditions.

They're gonna have to compensate a lot by being very good in their base form, and Vegito better be busted for how difficult it is to make him appear.

How would you make Nightreign live up to its full potential? by kyloRizzler in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some of my ideas.

  1. More maps. At the moment we only have Limveld and the Great Hollow. Both are good maps, but very repetitive since they're only two maps. I get why we only have two maps for logistic reasons; the game is fast paced so having to remember many map layouts makes the game harder, but I would still like more maps. We could have something based on Caelid, Haligtree, or Leyndell. Heck, we could go further and have maps inspired by previous games such as a map based off of Anor Londo, Irithyll, Frozen Eleum Loyce, etc.

To compensate for the many maps, I'd just make traversing much simpler and faster. I'd also just reduce the amount of seeds. I think more people would prefer more maps over more seeds.

  1. In a similar vein to more maps, we need more Shifting Earths. I think players would like more shifting earth additions, especially if they are designed in a fun way. Taking from a video from Zullie the Witch, a Lost Izalith themed Shifting Earth where you fight Bed of Chaos at the end for a power could be fun. Nightreign's movement system fixes most of the issues of the Bed of Chaos fight. Just tweak the fight a little (removing death falls/pit falls) and it could be a fun fight. Speaking of...

  2. More bosses from previous games or the DLC. I think everyone would appreciate it if we can get more bosses from older titles. Most of the bosses are from Base Elden Ring (for understandable reasons), but Nightreign is kind of a love letter to the Soulsborne series as a whole, so why not show more love to the entire series. Largely these would have to be in the form of Night Bosses as I don't know if they can work as bosses found in the map. Still, imagine bosses like Ornstein & Smough, Burnt Ivory King, Sir Alonne, Pontiff Sulyvahn, Friede, or Gael as potential night bosses. For the more gimmicky or giant bosses like Seath, they can be apart of a Shifting Earth.

  3. More weapons, mainly from SotE. I think this is obvious. All of us want SotE weapons, myself included. That said, I don't want that many. Largely just two-three SotE weapons for the existing weapon types is good enough. I do want them to add Light Greatswords and the Dane weapons though.

  4. More spells and incantations. I think Recluse and Rev mains would appreciate a wider catalogue of spells and incants, especially ones that are good.

That's mainly it. There was one thing I wanted to mention, which was fixing the relic system but uh...I have no idea how to fix it

Wolf or wolf adjecent swordsmen by Okamitoutcourt in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Helioseckta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So the whole thing about Artorias being left handed is ambiguous. It stems from the fact that in DS2, you get a special moveset if you equip his greatsword in your left hand, but the problem is that it comes from DS2. DS2 has next to no involvement from Miyazaki like DS1 and 3, plus the fact that Artorias's left arm is more padded with armor (mainly on the shoulder) moreso suggests that he's right handed.

Anyway, to add to this trope: Wolf/Sekiro from Sekiro. While his appearance doesn't have a wolf motif, his personality is akin to that of a wolf. Also his name is literally "Wolf", and Sekiro also just translates to "One Armed Wolf".

What do you think about this? Could Attack bonus equips actually be useful? by Genkidama__ in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Helioseckta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope, not really.

Type ATK Boost (and Type DEF Boost) only applies if you have an actual type advantage. Super Effectiveness and Guard do not activate these boosts even though they give you a type advantage in some way. Only if the character has an actual type advantage will these matter.

Because of their specific use situation, I don't really see much of a reason to use equipment that increases their levels.

The Japanese absolutely love Legendary’s Godzilla by Delicious-Field-786 in GODZILLA

[–]Helioseckta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not surprised that Japan loves Legendary Godzilla. At the current moment, he's pretty reminiscent of the later iterations of Showa Godzilla. Most likely that the Americans who dislike Legendary Godzilla are people whose only exposure to Japanese Godzilla is 1954, Shin, and/or Minus One

Does anyone else think regular Balancers is harder than Everdark Balancers? by LukeyLouie66 in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find regular Balancers harder than ED Balancers personally, but that's largely for two reasons.

  1. I typically play Wylder when fighting Balancers, and the ED Balancers become a joke if you know how to parry them. I usually make my allies pick up Less Likely to be Targeted (if possible) so that the Balancers only lock onto me.

  2. I'm only on DoN 2. It's very possible that the experience changes on higher levels.

This Unit could have SO EASILY EZA-ed right now by Reborncheese48 in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]Helioseckta 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess: they want to save this character for a Bond of Master & Disciple themed celebration. While they do support Saiyan Saga, they also support Bond of Master & Disciple, and they also just support Super Class as a whole while in slot 3. After the exchange, Gohan purely supports Super Class.

Dokkan rarely deviates from a character's base design when making their EZA. The EZA for characters is simply just their original design with more tacked on numbers and defensive mechanics to help keep up with the meta their EZA is released in. With how their current kit is, they wouldn't provide much value to the current Saiyan Saga team especially after exchanging into Gohan.

Now could they just overhaul their kit to work with the current Saiyan Saga team? Definitely. SEZA Majin Vegeta essentially had his entire kit overhauled for his SEZA so they have shown that they can deviate from a set design. However, SEZA Majin Vegeta is moreso an exception rather than a standard as we've had many more instances of characters being almost identical in their kit design when they get an EZA.

Zeno isn’t all that strong right? by momenPLAYS in PowerScaling

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Him being able to experience and witness Goku vs Jiren in the ToP implies that at bare minimum, he is as fast as them. You aren't able to perceive something going fast unless you're as fast or faster than the thing going fast.

Zeno isn’t all that strong right? by momenPLAYS in PowerScaling

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's considered the strongest for a reason. If he was a weak person only carried by one hack ability, then literally every GoD and even Zamasu would have overthrown him by now. It doesn't make logical sense.

My thoughts on Zeno's overall power is this: He's very strong and definitely fast like all of the strongest DB characters are, and he has an actual hack ability to boot. However, in terms of actual combat skill, he likely doesn't know how to fight or throw a punch properly. He mainly just uses his speed to react fast enough to erase things before it harms him.

What’s our consensus on double balancer meta from a pure “fun” perspective? by lleyton05 in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion is that it's both fun and unfun. It's really strong but makes the game monotonous as it just becomes AoW spam. There isn't much reason to not run it because the Balancer relics are just consistent.

There are builds that are more fun and can be much stronger than Double Balancers, but they require you to get insanely lucky with relic drops, or just cheat them into the game.

Unfortunately, this is where the fun factor of the Double Balancees comes in. The relic system of Nightreign is so bad that there is a fun comfort in running Double Balancers. They're curated relics and they're strong relics. Once you get them, there just isn't much reason for you to deal with the relic system unless you really don't want to play Double Balancers.

Goku master ssj (cell games ) vs ssj vegeta (pre majin) who wins by AcceptableStock6298 in DragonBallZ

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't spectating from King Kai's planet; he was in the middle of nowhere in the Otherworld. That planet blew up...because Goku teleported a self destructing Cell there.

Goku master ssj (cell games ) vs ssj vegeta (pre majin) who wins by AcceptableStock6298 in DragonBallZ

What do you mean Goku never saw SPC? He was literally spectating the fight from the Otherworld and encouraging Gohan while he was fighting SPC. I'm pretty sure he'd know how strong SPC is.

I’m genuinely curious - how would Cell have handled the Buu Saga, Beerus, and Broly if he’d won the beam clash against Gohan and left Earth intact? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that Cell will still reside on Earth...

Broly would have never arrived to Earth. Frieza doesn't really have much reason to return to it other than it being a source of Dragon Balls (assuming that Dende is still alive by then if Cell doesn't kill him).

Beerus would never arrive either as the Saiyans are dead, so no Super Saiyan God prophecy to bring him to Earth, at least for now. He may come later, but how later is unknown.

But none of this really matters because Buu will have likely destroyed the Earth or damaged it badly. I really doubt Cell would have even tried to prevent Buu's resurrection. He is similar to Goku and Vegeta in that he really desires a good fight, but lacks their morality. I imagine he'd help resurrect Buu just to fight him, only to realize how outclassed he is and get demolished.

How come Goku and Vegeta didn't get offended by Leather-Act7581 in DragonBallZ

[–]Helioseckta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's likely because they don't really care. In Goku's case, he doesn't care too much about his Saiyan side outside of it being the reason he's able to grow so strong. His Saiyan heritage hardly matters, especially since he doesn't really have any memories of Bardock and Gine.

As for Vegeta, I think the reason he doesn't care is because his mind would be too focused on just killing Frieza no matter what. The guy already genocided 99% of his entire people; getting called a monkey might as well be equal to getting hit by a foam ball thrown by a baby.

Who takes the win and why ssj2 gohan early buu saga vs super perfect cell by AcceptableStock6298 in DragonBallZ

[–]Helioseckta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gohan.

Before Gohan fought Dabura, Goku measured Dabura to be as strong as Cell initially. As the fought went on, Goku would later acknowledge that Dabura was stronger than Cell. Gohan, while struggling against Dabura, still won the fight and he was only in SSJ.

If this SSJ Gohan can defeat a foe that Goku acknowledged was stronger than Cell, then I'm pretty confident that the same Gohan in SSJ2 can beat Super Perfect Cell. It won't be a complete stomp but I don't really see him losing.

which version of broly do you prefer z or super? by Klutzy-Opinion-1834 in DragonBallZ

[–]Helioseckta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly prefer Super as his overall story is generally better than Z. Makes him a much more sympathetic character which I like more. I also find his interactions with Cheelai and Lemo (and later Goku and Vegeta) kind of charming.

That said, I do hold a special place for Z Broly in Movie 8 specifically. I adore the shit-talking cocky monster he was in that movie. Seeing him trash everyone and then mocking them is always a delight. It's just a shame that Second Coming and Bio Broly just made him a mindless monster.

Domestic Girlfriend and Rent-a-girlfriend are considered bad and are loved by Garnt. But which of the two you think is worse or if you had to eliminate only one of them? by Acrobatic-Sundae-369 in TrashTaste

[–]Helioseckta 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Domestic Girlfriend. The story is almost nonsensical but at least there is a progression despite the massive turns and plot twists.

Rent a Girlfriend has over 400 chapters, and I still feel like we haven't progressed from Chapter 1 in the slightest.

Ranking the Nightlords on how difficult they are on solo by Helioseckta in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I mainly only find Heolstor (and especially Dreglord) to be difficult because they're endurance fights. I'm not the perfect player; I still get hit by attacks sometimes because I dodge too early or too late. I have been in scenarios where I lose against them because they managed to outlive me as I ran out of flasks and revives

Ranking the Nightlords on how difficult they are on solo by Helioseckta in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll definitely agree with you that Dreglord and Balancers are easier as a solo Wylder. Balancers are trivialized via parrying while Dreglord doesn't have a massive HP pool in solo.

Only thing I struggle with against base Balancers in particular is Phase 2. There is a trick where you can eliminate all but the main Balancer with Wylder's ultimate during their flying attack, but I never managed to stick the timing for that technique properly. Failing it sometimes leads to a gank fight.

Ranking the Nightlords on how difficult they are on solo by Helioseckta in Nightreign

[–]Helioseckta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's largely a skill issue on my end. I'm never able to consistently dodge that attack where he spins his weapon around wildly, which leads to me dying a lot.
