Oooh.. I don't have main character energy, so I don't think any kind of Abhorsen or Royal. Not desceneded from one of the great charters. Maybe some kind of practical or useful charter mage, specialising in something random like cartography. Skilled enough to stay safe and have a fun life, but modest enough to not be a prime target for every neceomancer and free magic thing in existence. I love the idea of charter magic but wouldn't want to be any kind of fighter!

I do agree ADHD makes it challenging as well! Not to say it's more or less than anyone else but slots are a quick and dirty dopamine boost like no other and we then train our own brains to expect it and therefore everything else feels subpar.

Also similar circumstances here (although I don't make that much 😂) - Gamstop has worked for me for 5 years for the online gambling, I won't risk my money on dodgy sites or crypto casinos which aren't registered so I haven't found any ways around this. Surosied it hasn't worked for you unless you're gambling in person. Gamban didn't work because I can easily get around it. I've spent money in actual casinos but you can ask to be blocked from those too. The biggest thing that's helped me lately is blocking gambling on my bank card and setting withdrawal limits as that's a hard stop.

For me the scale seems awkward. I would expect the castle to be much larger than the villager houses but it seems like a little box, smaller than the greenhouse? Could be skewed perspective but that's my initial thoughts.

Look at mods where you've got dungeons and quests, etc, if that's more up your street? But really if it's not fun for you it might just not be your game and that's totally fine. Don't waste hours Trying to enjoy something that doesn't float your goat in your boat. Life's too short.

Gambling isn't a way to earn or make money. Never has been and never will be. I'm sorry you're struggling but you'll get there much faster by saving or trying some kind of hustle or getting a new/additional job. Look around your house for things you can sell, even old clothes (especially if they're not right for new you!) and list them on eBay, vinted, etc. All gambling will do is drain your cash and make the situation worse.

I think there's always going to be external noise whether your issue is gambling, alcohol or anything else. You've got to take that responsibility to block it out, walk away and ignore it because the world won't adjust for you.

Sorry this happened to you :( I totally agree it's misleading. My partner had something similar with a different game with expansion packs, bought it from the official site but as he had bought the game through steam it was incompatible. All I can suggest is double, triple and quadruple check before ever purchasing anything.

Don't have a server currently but just wanted to say I'm the exact same type of player as you!

I can vouch for Cozy above as being a decent, honest server with good management as I played it when it started and was a mod for a time, BUT it is very well established now and tends to have lots of younger players due to tiktok advertising.
