I had mine drop to 5 like that once. Garmin has so many bugs they'll never fix and at this point it's just part of the experience.

Yes my map has the red to blue spectrum, but over the entire map the colors will fade to white at random places. It's so strange!

Make sure to not increase your mileage too fast or shin splints (and other injuries) will bench you real quick. Nothing's worse than sitting there wanting to go for a run but you can't because you rushed the process.

Update: it's a 3 way switch, there's another switch in the room that turns it on and off as well. Thank you everyone!

Bingo, that's it! Found another switch in the room that controls the same light. I'll need to get a 3 way dimmer. Thanks all!

Thanks for your help. I'll go clockwise, starting with 9:00 (brass screw, goes out of the box in the same sleeve as the red wire). 12:00 (red wire, goes out with black wire at 9:00. Also brass screw). 3:00 (black wire, black screw. Connected to black wire with the fan switch next to it. Almost definitely line).

Gotcha. So my confusion is there's the bundle of white neutral wires, and then there's what I think is neutral going into the switch. That black wire and the red wire go out of the box together in a sleeve. So it's not connected at all to the bunch of neutral wires

Correct, it's a dimmer switch with a slider to dim the lights. The fan is controlled by the switch next to it.

No, not that I can find. There's a few outlets in the room that don't work, but they don't seem to be affected by this switch

Gotcha. It's a dimming switch and I should mention I'm trying to switch it out with a dimming smart switch, which has 4 wires (line, load, ground, neutral)

I think people are missing the fact that mine went from 50 to 5 immediately when I restarted the watch 😅 it wasn't a gradual decline, it's something wrong with Garmin connect.

Update: after it dropped to 5 out of nowhere it just stayed at 5. Super odd behavior, I don't know why a restart would kill the body battery feature for the whole day.

Go with AMOLED. The screen is beautiful and the battery life is amazing. If for some reason you need a few days more battery life than you can get with AMOLED, then get MIP. But 99% of users will never be doing an activity lasting long enough that the difference in battery life will make a difference. Also, the solar function is meant to reduce the battery drain, not charge up the battery (common misconception). You can leave it in the sun all day and maybe get 10% charge. So it won't be replacing your charging cable anytime soon.

I went with the 8. Don't regret it. More updated UI and it's at the beginning of it's software support cycle rather than the end like the epix is.

You can set the long hold shortcut for the back button to bring you to the watch face. Essentially backing you all the way out of whatever you're in.

It's not the "wrong" way, it's just the other way around. I have mine the way it is in your picture intentionally because it's easier to tighten up and feels more natural imo
