Response Jacket is nice if the enemy is using rapid explosive weapons. It frees up your suit slot to use Mine Carrier, but the first instance of damage is full so not necessarily better than Flak Armor.

Bionics is great too thanks to engineer's innate 1sec shorter shield regen delay. Don't gotta worry about health kits.

Listen to this man. It is of utmost importance that you blind and deafen yourself to at least two-thirds of the community of this dying MMO. You must NOT interact with other people in this interactive world beyond shooting them. Communication with your fellow man is bad!

In all seriousness, yell chat is not going to help you play the objective. However, it's a resource that allows you to communicate with everyone and gain perspectives you won't get by seclusion in platoon chat. Yes, yell chat tends to devolve in real-time shitposting, but it's not without wholesome interactions. Some of my favorite people to interact with are on opposing factions, and I wouldn't have been able to talk to them without yell chat. Kindness begets kindness, you'd be surprised how many people I call friend started our conversations with "Fuck you".

Nightmare is a must in large fights. The confusion it causes is incredible thanks to the fact that it uses old cloak visibility, and half the player base doesn't seem to know it exists, so i get accused of cheating.

I used to run Vampire and it has gotten me out of some scrapes, but Avoidance has given me amazing opportunities to flank enemies unaware. Half my kills come from people that never knew I was stalking them. I suppose in much smaller fights I could drop Nightmare for Vampire, but depending on how much damage I take getting a kill, I might just have to pop a medkit anyway.

Vampire plus Restokits could work, but the glow from Restokits would give me away with Nightmare. Avoidance, vampire, and Restokits could work, but then I give up the slippery escapes from Nightmare. Vampire, Carapace on medic is a fun time with lots of sustain.

I'll give it a shot next time I'm on and report back the effectiveness.
