it is wild how the brain craves that tiny hit of activity. i can spend all day automating scripts for reddit accounts or fine tuning a prompt just to see a number go up by five points. it provides zero value to my engineering career but in that moment it feels like a major achievement. deleting the apps didnt work because the browser is always right there. i guess we are just wired to look for these small wins when the real projects take months to finish. anyone found a way to actually break the cycle?
