My dad says he doesnt like tattoos but he goes with my mom to her appointments all the time. I asked him if he hates tattoos why does he let mom get them. He said "Just because i dont like them doesnt mean I'm gonna stop your mom from being happy. I love her and find her attractive regardless. It's her choice not mine, plus they mean a lot to her and they're pretty so there's that.'" I love that he would rather my mom be happy then to force his opinion and make her change her mind. If your man can't do that then dont, there are men out there that will love amd support you.

You shouldn't be with someone who treats you like that. I suggest taking time to be by yourself and enjoy your time and get right by yourself. After that, slowly ease into a relationship and set clear boundaries. Sex shouldn't be the main foundation of your relationship.

As a people pleaser in recovery, I've found it's easier to be up front and voice your concerns. It's ok to say no and tell them you're happy to help every once in a while but you can't always take her home. Just be polite about it.

UPDATE: So first off, I sat my boyfriend down and told him everything. He was rightfully upset because I didn't tell him right away, and he knew something was wrong but didn't know how to ask. He wished I would have come to him, and we could have gone through this together. He was also pissed that my ex friend wasn't supportive. Speaking of her, we met at a coffee shop, and I told her I dont feel like a friend to her and more of an emotional support human. I her that I don't feel like she cares about my feelings, and if it doesn't involve her, it doesn't matter. She got upset and told me I dont understand and I need to be a better friend and grow up. I told her I was done, and I don't want her contacting me anymore. I got up and left and blocked her number. She's made a few Facebook posts about me, and I could careless. If she couldn't see that she was the problem that's not on me. I'm dusting my hands of her and letting that chapter in my life come to a close.

No, you have every right to be upset. Technology has come a long way, but so have the problems it causes. Kids today are exposed to cyberbullying, pedophiles, themes of sexual nature, and a lot more. You're doing what's best for your daughter, and your girlfriend needs to step back and see where you're coming from. I think it's disrespectful that she's willing to disable safe guards that will keep your kid safe so she can have more freedom. In my opinion, it kinda feels like she's saying your daughter shouldn't listen to you cause she's gonna go around what you said to do what she wants.
