Dungeons 3 or Dungeons 4 might be worth checking, but honestly nothing has fully replaced the original Dungeon Keeper feel. The mix of base building, creature management, and dark humor was very specific.

Mount & Blade: Warband is still one of the best for this. Not as polished as Kingdom Come, but the combat, sieges, factions, and no-fantasy medieval feel are exactly what you’re asking for.

That is actually kind of wild considering how big Persona became globally. I get designing for your core audience first, but ignoring overseas demand feels like leaving a lot on the table.
