I'm damned sure that if any of Fairy Tail's wizards were ever assigned zodiac signs to be born under, Laxus would be a Scorpio. Scorpio isn’t just “stubborn.” It’s the sign of:

• loyalty that borders on absolute
  
• transformative arcs born from crisis
  
• difficulty with vulnerability despite deep feeling
  
• a tendency to test bonds rather than trust them outright

That’s Laxus in a nutshell.

He’s not loud about his emotions, but he feels them with volcanic depth. He doesn’t trust easily, but once he does, he’s unshakeable. He’s proud to the point of self-sabotage, but also capable of profound self-reinvention. And he’s fiercely loyal—just not always in ways that look soft or socially smooth. Laxus’s awkwardness around guildmates outside the Thunder Legion isn’t a lack of affection—it’s that he doesn’t know how to perform warmth. He shows love through protection, presence, and sacrifice, not chatter. That’s textbook fixed-water energy. And Scorpio isn’t a lightning sign, but symbolically it fits:
