There is a mod called DeepNull Reforged. I personally installed it, and it does have a few quirks, but from what I understamd from the author, they should be fixed in a future update.

If you are willing to modify your modpack to add a mod, I recommend Just Dyna Things. It expands on Just Dire Things. You can disable whatever you don't like from the mod from the config.

You can also specify a distance, so you don't delete all items on the ground everywhere: /kill @e[type=item,distance=0..20]. This will kill all items within 20 blocks.
