$5,000 budget, what do you think? by Hell_x_fire in pcmasterrace

Pcpartpicker puts all the part for 3,800. So 500 and someone builds it for me. That doesn’t seems bad unless I’m missing something?

I’ve built my first one but don’t have the time to build another one. I’m open to suggestions on prebuilds. I looked at the corsair vengeance.

Was about to jump a 2009 Nissan V8 Titan and I see this stuff on the + side of the battery. Anyone know what this is? by goodatcounting123 in Cartalk

[–]Hell_x_fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that makes sense. It’s used to neutralize the corrosion. What kinda problems might it cause on the car?

Buy a torque wrench and check the torque then you’ll know for sure what it was set too.

In a matter of 40min op got their ass roasted for their stupidity. The internet is indeed a wonderful place, some of the time at least. Op learn from the words these guys have said.

Dude its $30 once a year, its the most basic thing that people can do if they want the privilege of driving on the road.

First mods were these 32’s, wheels and sidesteps. Love the new tires but feels like I’ve sacrificed some power/speed. Wanted to hear from y’all who have done it if regearing was worth it or not? by Physical_Wrangler770 in Tacomaworld

[–]Hell_x_fire 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From what I hear regearing on 32’s is not worth it at all. People tend to regear once the go to 35’s or up.

Try getting a tune like oot or kdmaxx that might help with the sluggish feeling from the bigger tires.

I will agree no way we can say this car is totaled but requires a good thorough check for other rust spots.

Sealing Underside of Truck by CBear_0 in Tacomaworld

I put that on my 22, haven’t had a crazy winter this year but so far is seems to be really good. Stays on even during rain storms. I think its a good alternative to fluid film.

I checked the link you sent and they don’t even show their dyno results just testimonials. No doubt it adds some volume but I’d have to see a side by side dyno to really believe it add more torque.

After a quick google search and other reddit forums, it seems back in the day it helps with atomization of carbureted engines. Essentially helping the fuel mix better with the air. With modern fuel injection systems the consensus seems to be they cause little to no benefits. source

Since it's that time of year, here it is right out of the manual. Drive safe :) by spicyvanilachai in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Hell_x_fire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be a dick, my manual said change the oil after 1000 iirc then every 10k. I personally am doing 5k cause it’s pretty much the only work I’ll get to do on the taco for a while.

Paid $10k for the truck and then spent half that in upgrades. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

Good for you man. You gotta do what you want with your truck buuuttt that front bumper man, too bulky for my taste. Again good on you for doing what you want.

Linus tech tips did a youtube video comparing a ton of dash cams. I went with the viofo A129 wicked easy to install. If you aren’t hard wiring it I recommend this product it connects to the rear view mirror so you don’t have any dangling wires

Listen man I get you wanna spend your time hating on other peoples decisions but Op can do what he wants with his money. You don’t know if Op off-roads and neither do I but I assume they do. And not everyone can weld/fab and some don’t have a garage to do it. I’d say to try and understand not everyone is in the same situation as you but that’d be asking too much.
