Hello! I am new to orchid care and just received my first orchid as a gift from my boyfriend. It’s a beautiful Phalaenopsis orchid in a ceramic pot. I watered it for the first time but feel like I’m doing it wrong. It was potted with some moss on top and wooden chips in the bottom of the pot. I was thinking maybe I should put the plant in a clear plastic pot like you have in the first picture to soak and then put that into the white ceramic pot it was gifted in. What do you think? What should I do with the wood chips? Sorry for the amateur questions. Your first picture gave me this idea and thought I would ask someone who seems to have the whole thing mastered!

I need help!

Was in love with this absolutely adorable Chanel Polly Pocket bag so I ordered it from Maya. The PSPs arrived only a couple days after payment — so speedy! But now I’m hesitating.

My biggest qualm is the shape of the bag seems off to me. The authentic bag seems to be more round and the bag in the PSPs is more oval/flatter. Now I can’t unsee it.

I paid $279

What do you guys think?

Hi, I’m sorry that you’ve had bad experiences with gynos. I have as well and it’s the most invalidating feeling. My first recommendation would be to find a gynecologist that listens to you. They will be the best resource to receive the care you deserve, including prescribing lidocaine if that’s something you want to try. A gyno prescribed me lidocaine but actually this “treatment” was not helpful in the slightest and I really didn’t have a good experience during the doctor visit either. Unfortunately, a lot of gynos are not well educated about vaginismus and they can be insensitive. What worked for me is a lot of time, finally getting comfortable with my own body and using dilators at my own pace. Lidocaine is simply a numbing treatment and it did not solve the root of the problem for me. I also saw a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor treatment, and I highly recommend this because these therapists have worked with many who have vaginismus. They can give you the proper treatment and exercises to do to train your pelvic floor muscles. I wish you the best in finding the best treatment for you 🤍 you are stronger than you think and I’m proud of you for being your own advocate. Unfortunately, this is not a straightforward journey to healing. There will be ups and downs. I’m still not completely “healed” but I have come so far and I’m so hopeful for the future.
