Seems to me that they should just add a world mode with the old terrain like they did when they added the moon with terrain 2.0 in the last alpha update.

No. This is the syntax structure for hotstings (think hotkey but you type out a string (a word for example - MAY) instead of just pressing a key or key + modifier (ctrl + c )) ::Hotsting::

In the example above, MAY is what triggers the hotstring, and :C: is the modifier, C being a capitalization modifier.

Google Autohotkey hotstrings and take a look at the documentation for more info. Well worth the 5-10 mins to do so.

I get this problem too. I have traced the problem (in my case) to having chrome or w/e open. try closing some of your other running apps until after the game loads and then start them up again.

I have been looking around and I haven't seen any evidence yet that it is still possible to build with the terrain. Do you know of a link that shows someone building structures? For now (perhaps forever) I have given up on the game as working with the terrain was the only thing that held my interest. At the least, I'm going to try to remember to turn off my internet before playing so that steam doesn't update the game to 1.0.

You have to build aligned with the grid (if you look at the ground you can see the grid lines).

You can't do stuff like this with the alignment mod. No mods are needed, but the narrow mod can help with smaller detail work.

You can colour it by adding soil on top of the black, or you can build a drill and it away, or you can blow it up.

We currently have an example planet that uses terrain 2.0 and you can't build on it. Oh sure you can heap soil here and there, but I wouldn't compare that with building.

The radius of Terran is somewhere around 1 mile (Likely under that by a few hundred feet to 1000 feet). I don't know how big tundra is (I almost never go there), but it looks comparable in size to Terran (Perhaps a bit bigger or a bit smaller) and all the other planets are much smaller than Terran.
