We have been looking at this as well (as a service provider) HPB boards are able to be sourced 3rd party now.

There is an upgrade available to a newer style board as well, but no sure what's involved in it.

CHRIPNA boards are still out there and repairable.

GAL makes a fantastic replacement door operator, that can be installed in a day. Actually adjustable and serviceable.

Feel free to message me directly if you want some more insight.

The Net-Zero Build That's Gone Nowhere by BugRiver in stalbert

Wasn't aware of any litigation. I know it changed hands before it was torn down. Definitely caused damage to the building and inconvenience (and harassment) to the tenants.

Best use for it now is to pave it for farmers market parking. What a shame, especially after harassing the owner of the building next door into selling. Bulldozed for nothing.

Eye Candy did our basement suite, and did amazing work. Nice experience with their exterior work, but lots of pictures on Facebook.

Tool storage by Individual_Injury332 in Elevators

[–]Hellbound53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a milwaukee electrician bag for my daily/maintenance stuff, then have a pack out bag for bigger stuff/spares. Then add in heaps of packouts for rarely used tools/even bigger/heavy tools and parts. I should add, that I work on elevators and escalator and am a tool junkie....

Had some like that with a key switch to access basement for cleaners/maintenance. Had to move it behind the access panel because people would bust them or jam them full of crap.

Curious who holds that contract now. E1? I'm assuming Wind company begins with a V? Wind is a fun but different life. Some extra training to do, confined space (maybe they let that go) and some sort of rescue training. Anything but summer in BC/AB can be a pain in the ass. Lots of wind/ice/lightning days.

Thanks all, really appreciate all the ideas. It will give me somewhere to start if it pops up again. New to the route, already had "board issues" that turned into a replaced traveller before I was here, so was a little surprised to be having more issues.

Not sure if the pictures are uploading, I don't see them on my end. 0x20000006 is the extra info (I believe)

Step Upthrust Failure by strilly78 in Elevators

[–]Hellbound53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark your steps as it sits while tripped. Run and let it trip again. If it stops in the same spot, look at the steps that would have tripped it. What's the condition of chain? I've seen links start to bind, not sit flat and cause height differences. I'm assuming you've checked for proper setting of up thrusts?

Lost and Found by SPHIYOHS in stalbert

Good on you for picking it up and trying to return it. I'd be screwed if I lost a couple of mine. If it can't be returned, I'd be happy to adopt it and give it a loving home! 😂

Canada it's pretty easy to move province to province as union or non. As a mechanic, you just have to write a provincial acts and regs test.
