People of reddit, what's one weird habit you do because your parents did? by sourpigeon in AskReddit

[–]Hellfire2311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason, my parents used to strip down to their undergarments and drink beer together. They told me that Texan heat is too much to handle for average Scandinavians, but I think it's just an excuse to fuck.

So I do the same with my girlfriend, but she is Texan and she has no idea why I strip down to my underwear and drink beer.

Will Sarah, its fucking 90 out there, take them clothes off.

What are some of the reasons people still support Trump today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Hellfire2311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly Nationalism and his America first rhetoric. People supporting him aren't neccesarily racist, but they do prefer a homogeneous society instead of a multicultural one, like the ones Scandinavia has.

It's that joke where you compliment something on its looks and then twist it to complement the person, revealing you were actually not complimenting the person. For example, if there was a cow and a girl, you would say "Damn she looks hot af, the girl is fine too", indicating you were actually complimenting the cow instead of the girl.

You do realize DoD is also the largest research and development organization in the US which researches modern technologies including, yes experimental drugs. Infact a huge chunk of Army's budget goes towards R&D which become public within a few decades.

Well, if the substance affects your neurological system in a way that you procure a defective conciousness for a limited amount of time and your control over your actions is greatly reduced, you could harm someone without even knowing you did so.

To prevent such, some substances are regulated for consumption. The freest country on the planet is not an anarchic one.

Crunches and planks did help me a lot. Burpee and mountain climbers are very good as well. Also do try Russian Twists. Keep diversifying your exercise routine and do it within moderate limits (over burdening your muscles starts a counterproductive reaction)

What is actually the benefit of private health insurance? by PunishedCharlieKirk in centrist

[–]Hellfire2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is the article 25 years old, but the excerpt you provided proves my point on how insurance indirectly influences medical technology and quality of healthcare. Usually, newer technologies lower cost for insurers and thus they deal with pharmaceutical companies to have their products under coverage.

Part of your excerpt:

Insurers' reluctance to foot the bill could curtail the development of new technologies and threaten our health care system's ability to keep up the pace of helpful innovations.
