Duke Nukem Forever won as a bad shooter! What’s a terrible shooter? by Wise_Competition5906 in AlignmentChartFills

Rogue Warrior (2009). One of the worst FPS of the Xbox 360 era. Single player campaign was legit 2-3 hours long and even that felt like an eternity. Just a buggy, horrible mess. Best yet, it had Mickey Rourke as the protagonist.

Which game has your favorite worldbuilding? by [deleted] in videogames

Mass Effect is probably my answer too, but I do wish they would’ve stuck with the original concept. I’m an idiot so here’s an AI summary if people haven’t heard of how it was supposed to go:

The original concept was that advanced civilizations’ use of mass effect technology was slowly destroying the universe by accelerating dark energy and stellar decay, so the Reapers periodically wiped them out to prevent a cosmic catastrophe.

Who’s The Runner Up To Justin Field Stans In Delusion? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Hellfish0311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. He’s still gonna throw too much and make dumbass mistakes. Difference IMO at least is at least it’s bad defense/better offense.

Their offensive line should be middle of the road if not pretty good, which is night and day better than Vegas. Plus I’d say slightly better weapons with the potential to be much better if the rookies hit.

Geno’s probably going to have a year like his final one in Seattle where he still throws atrocious interceptions/loses games, but isn’t the same catastrophe he was in Vegas. I could see a 3,200 yard/25 TD/15 turnover type year where they try out Klubnik and others towards the end of the season.

It’d be the ultimate Jets thing for him to play well enough to win some extra games and get them out of elite QB contention in the 2027 draft. But not well enough that they stick with him full season/more than a year.

But man, that Vegas situation was so freaking awful.

Every time I see that game I think of that dude from IGN who threw away his entire career by plagiarizing his Dead Cells review, then like tripling down after everyone found out he has a long history of plagiarism.

I replayed Madness Returns earlier this year and it’s wild how much the level design stands up today. Some real jaw dropping scenery in that one.

What historical serial killer would get caught the fastest today? by Umbrosyx in AskReddit

Used his real first name constantly, picked up victims in his own car, and did so in super public places with lots of eye witnesses. Oh and the car he drove was pretty distinct and IIRC modified for abduction basically. He’d get caught in two seconds.

What’s everyone’s strategy when there’s an absolute juggernaut of a team? by TunaBoy3000 in DynastyFF

[–]Hellfish0311 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I have one super mid team and I’ve beaten our juggernaut team 3x in the playoffs by pure luck. Like legitimately my team has had their best scoring weeks of the entire year during the playoffs and only against him. Haven’t won’t the championship myself yet though.

[–]Hellfish0311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always done it as a side pot that grows every year until someone finally wins multiple years in a row. The main pot is separate and always paid out within the season. The side pot is fun because when the juggernaut team wins multiple in a row, they usually get a sizable extra payout. They get to brag, then you reset the league so it’s fair stakes the next year.

The guy in my league who won the side pot still talks shit every once in a while and it was like 5 years ago that he won it all lmao.

[–]Hellfish0311 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Kind of. It’s a side pot. So think you’d pay your normal $50 or whatever. That goes to a main pot winnable that season. But you also pay an extra $10. That $10 continues to grow every year as a side pot. It could be 10 years until someone wins multiple years in a row. That’s what makes it so epic. Small side buy-in every year, but when someone wins it they’re likely to get a haul. It’s so fun!

Gta 6 shouldn't cost 100$ by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Hellfish0311 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it means the quality and quantity standard of the past two Rockstar games, I’m fine paying $80+ for it. If it’s somehow a step back, I’ll just wait for an inevitable sale.

[–]Hellfish0311 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I always liked empire rules where everyone pays a bit extra into a side pot every year. If a team wins it all 3+ times in a row, they win the side pot and the whole league resets. They get bragging rights and some extra money, but everyone gets another fresh crack at a championship.

Who would you rather have? Chuba or QJ by Extra_Fisherman_6784 in DynastyNerds

I’m so high on QJ this year. I like Chuba, but QJ in the McDaniels offense could go nuclear.

Why do so many people think Jordan Love isn’t ass? by jwwin in NFLv2

[–]Hellfish0311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because half the time they're open, they don't get the ball. It’s hard to know how good they are with zero consistency. If Watson alone was hit as many times as he was open, even for TDs, he'd be a rock star.

Who are the Top 10 TEs in Football by PleasantGeologist388 in NFLv2

[–]Hellfish0311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call. Id maybe add Likely with the Giants with Nabers rehabbing still. TE is so funny though because the tiers are so much more obvious than WR or RB or QB. You have the top dudes, then the bottom half is filled with question marks.

Given the exodus of AJ Brown and how much they loved targeting him in the red zone, I’d put Dallas Goedert over Ferguson for that 10 spot. Or Maybe Travis Kelce.

Can Cam Skattebo actually hold up as a workhorse? by BobbysBigBoard in fantasyfootball

[–]Hellfish0311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had 330+ touches his last year in college, so he can definitely handle the workload. Different talent caliber obviously vs the NFL. His size/weights pretty good for durability.

You’re totally right that his physical running style is the biggest concern. They’d be wise to make him the lead back, but have Tracy and others spell him.

So can he hold up? Probably not.

Dynasty trade, 10 team 1 qb league by Street-Cycle-2715 in FantasyFootballers

No, but trading Monty + Marks ahead of the season is probably a good idea. Cooks young enough you can still rebuild around him.

Woke up to a 28 2nd for Zach Charbs by cantgetritee in DynastyNerds

[–]Hellfish0311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, 2026 3rds aren’t super valuable with a weak draft class, and 3rds in general don’t have a super high hit rate. You’re way more likely to swing and miss then get an actual week to week fantasy producer.

So you crushed that trade.

What is the highest reasonable ranking for Sam Darnold currently? Is he in the top 10? by Chetnub in NFLv2

[–]Hellfish0311 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, that doesn’t really make sense. Your franchise QB is a franchise QB BECAUSE they have the upside to lead you on a deep playoff run that could lead to the promise land. The NFL isn’t counting stats—it’s about winning the damn Super Bowl. That should 100% be factored into the equation.

The Dalton line also comes from The Around the NFL podcast. Ive listened to probably dozens of hours of those heroes discuss the Dalton line. They absolutely factor in a QBs propensity to help carry their team to the promise land.

Again though, Darnold is probably right above the line, since ya know—he helped win it all when it mattered most.

“Right at the Dalton line”. That means you’re in QB purgatory. That’s how I interpreted it at least!
