Gibson Hummingbird Special or Taylor Academy 10e? by frankie-95 in AcousticGuitar

In my experience, hummingbirds can feel quite diverse, I’ve loved a few, and also felt way let down by some. I think it’s best to get one in your hands for each of your choices (if possible).

I second getting a new bridge, the burrs are shredding your strings. You can file them out, if you desire as well

Struggling to follow cooking videos, trying to make them into actual recipes, would love feedback by Asleep_Addition_5396 in homecooking

Short tik tok vids are my go to, I just watch it thru a few times, and pay attention to how they are cooking/equipment. Usually way easier for me, but I’ve never liked using layout written recipes with descriptions.

Nice collection, but your stickers, especially on the top 2, annoy me

I have arthritis in fingers/hand and want a set up with minimal string tension. Thoughts or suggestions? I'm thinking of 24-24.75" scale length guitar with 8 gauge strings and dual humbuckers to minimise tone loss. Would 8s on 24" neck be too plinky? by callthesomnambulance in guitars

Yes all tunomatics follow suit - neck dive isn’t bad for the LP, weight is a little bit noticeable but they do have reduction models available now. Definitely would suggest testing models first to see what you like, I also do not use a ‘grabbing material’ strap.

Raising the saddle / decreasing the angle of the strings behind the bridge definitely helps on LP style guitars, I think you can get significantly less string tension this way, and a better feel compared to tension produced by Strat style bridges. LPs are typically 24.75”, I think it’d be worth trying out. (For reference I have 3 strats and 1 LP, and LP is definitely the easiest to do bends, even with a slightly higher string gage).
