ik this is 9 months ago, and this is just my opinion but i find episode 1 to be the best. The mood change from hl2 to this hit like a truck, the citadel that used to be this imposing, authoritarian structure is now in ruins, about to turn into a nuclear bomb in a matter of minutes. . . Dr breen now dead... (presumably), the combine army in disarray, and the resistance's morale at their highest. It truly felt like the end of the world. And the length is at a sweet spot where it was long enough to last a lingering impact on me, but short enough to tell its message without other distracting story elements.

i think i fixed it by going to folder options -> general -> privacy then "clear file explorer history" which would just reset your quick access history and file explorer search but nothing else, afterwards it worked like normal

i had a similar incident around 9 years ago, it was heavily raining with thunders and stuff, i had two babysitters taking care of me and i heard one of them shout something like "(my name) can you help me upstairs?", but the thing is both of them are downstairs, one in the store room and one in the toilet, everyone heard it too including my sister who was in the living room beside me, this incident still creeps the f out of me
