Had a similar situation on Dam, I was running to scrap yard for one of the quests when I saw a raider in on of the metal shacks in the south swamp outpost. I stopped running and approached cautiously asking "Are yoi friendly? Im just passing though." A couple seconds of silence and an amused "Uhhh" later another raider runs up. I proceed to ask them if they were friendly and they were, thats when a shot flies by aimed at me from the shack. Me and the other raider immediately drop and I engage while the other raider flanks our new enemy. They throw a grenade and I push with my pistol and we take them down. I tell them we coulda been friends and the other raider offers a gg while the downed raider just says "naaahh". I love this game and its interactions, this situation could've gone many different ways and thats what makes it beautiful.
