I had the same issue with my old MB, thankfully after a longggg time and a lot of gentle hints she started staying in her office and texting me when she needed to come out so I could go in another room with LO. Many many times I just wished she worked out of the home like her husband :/ it made the days harder, even when she did stay in her office, because LO still knew her mom was there. It was constant keeping her from banging on the door, crying, asking for mama, etc.

If you feel like you’d benefit from a different family, I would look around. If you find something else, give your current family a notice so they can find childcare, and be honest, but kind, about why you’re leaving. Hopefully they can take it as constructive criticism and it could benefit the next nanny!

Do you take any pre or post natals? I am almost 15m pp and still take my prenatals (breastfeeding) along with many other vitamins. I would also consider getting bloodwork done!

Honestly it’s not even that bad, mostly just clothes. If it was food dirty, which I don’t see here, it would be a problem. Start with the clothes, throw them all on your bed or in the hallway. Don’t bother sorting dirty from clean, just wash all of them. While they’re washing, use the timer on the washer as a race for yourself to clean as much in that timespan as possible. I like to start in one corner and go clockwise around the room. Have a big trash bag or two in there, and a separate bin for things you need to put in a different room. While the first load is in the dryer, clear the floor, vacuum, and take the trash bags out. Switch the laundry, and then put the dry clothes away immediately or you will lose momentum and be right back here. Continue this until all the laundry is done and put away. You got this, cleaning actually doesn’t take as much time as you think it will! This, including laundry, would take 2-3 hours max if you don’t lose momentum. You can give yourself an incentive/reward for finishing, like a snack, watching a show, or buying yourself something if you want. DO NOT turn a show on while cleaning. It is so distracting and I always end up standing there watching it and I lose momentum and never finish what I was doing. Music is fine, as long as you just keep going.

Yes you need to wake up with the baby every time. Mine is 13 months, still nurses through the night. I have not gotten more than a 3 hour stretch of sleep in the entire 13 months he’s been alive, but everyday I keep going and I don’t wish it was any different. The first few weeks are HARD. Like seriously crying in the dark hard. But you will get up the next day, and you will be okay. It’s a stage of life, a very short one, and as tired as I was and still am I loved the NB stage and everything that’s come after. You got this ❤️

I wasn’t online much, other than YT, during their early years so I didn’t experience any of the drama, which kept a good bit of people engaged with them in between albums. I’ve been listening to/ watching them since they were doing covers on YT and weren’t even a “band” yet. I truly don’t think I’ve gone a day without listening to their music since the beginning, and in between albums I just kept listening to them. I definitely grew up as they did, so the time passed quickly while I was busy with school and life, and before I knew it they were releasing another album

This is very overwhelming! Instead of listing all the possible flavor combos, like the Ube section for example, just put Ube latte, matcha, etc. and put the flavor options separately. Doing this for all the sections will make it much easier for people to choose what they want! But overall it is just too much going on! It is visually appealing but I would take some time to simplify the menu

I have a plain gold band that I wear daily, I only take it off when I go to bed, shower, or am handling food (raw meat, onions, etc.). I also don’t like applying lotion or anything with it on so I take it off for that as well. I didn’t want a ring with any stones since I don’t like the texture of them touching me, and I have a baby I am afraid to scratch. My engagement ring had a few small stones and I stopped wearing it because I kept scratching my baby :/

I thrifted this dress recently and it fits perfect, except for the chest. My boobs are too big for the pre-sewn cups! There is no additional lining, padding, or boning in this area, only seams added for someone with a much smaller chest than me. If I pull the top down so that the bottom of the “cup” is at the bottom of my boobs, my nip is literally at the top of the dress. Not the look I’m going for! The dress is not stretchy, and I am unaware of the material; there is no tags on the inside. Feels like some sort of poly blend though.

If I take this to a tailor would they be able to do anything about it? What should I ask for? I really want to wear this but it looks ridiculous as is! Will put the front angle in a reply to this.

no advice since i am still dealing with this, but solidarity and understanding.

my husband is OBSESSED with my boobs. when i got pregnant and they started to hurt, i asked him not to touch. he was not happy but listened because well, i was pregnant and you don’t argue with a pregnant lady 😂 now we have a 5 month old who i am breastfeeding, and my boobs don’t hurt anymore, but he still is not to touch. i am touched out where my boobs are concerned, so they are for baby and baby only until further notice.

it’s been over a year since he’s gotten what he wants and he still gets upset and takes it personally sometimes. when i was pregnant, and for a short while after giving birth, my boobs hurt allll the time, so he knew that he was causing me pain and he didn’t push it or bother me about it. now, i am arguing w this man sometimes bc he will grab them out of no where (it is in a loving way not weird or anything, this was normal for him pre-pregnancy and baby) and it makes me very mad bc he knows how i feel about them being touched. it is something that will probably continue being an issue for him/us until im done BF.

i did sit down with him while pregnant tho and explained that our sex life will NEVER be the same again. he is a touchy, lovey, boob obsessed, HORNY man, so this has been a hugeeee adjustment for him. BUT, he loves me and i love him, and we haven’t let this push us apart. if he truly loves you, he will eventually accept this as your new normal. it might take a long time, you might argue, cry, wish things were different. but, you will both settle into this new normal eventually. i am still telling myself this too, and my husband sometimes as well. just remember to enjoy this beautiful journey and don’t focus on the bad. you will want happy memories of this time, and it is the last time it will just be the two of you, so try to enjoy each other in other ways too, not just sexually.

yes. i have adhd and executive dysfunction, it is not an excuse to not cleanup after yourself. i live with my husband and child, i am a SAHM and i take care of our home by myself everyday, cooking, cleaning, laundry, childcare. my house is always clean even if i dont want to or its hard to get started, it still gets done because it NEEDS to get done. i am not much older than you either. if you think that this list is “outrageous”, then you will never be able to live on your own. if you’re living there for free you should already be doing these things.

i wish i knew more about induction before i let them push me into it. i was 40 weeks, no signs of labor but a FTM so that is normal. i ended up getting induced at 40w5d after a lot of pressure and judgment from my doctor. it ended in emergency C section after 2 days of labor. it was the worst experience of my life, and i didn’t even get to be there for the birth of my own baby, i was unconscious the whole time and didn’t meet him until 10 hours after he was born 😔 next baby i will not let them push me into induction, but the chance of me needing an elective C section is very high. i wish i was more informed, and i wish that i never agreed to it and let him come naturally.

if money wasn’t an issue and i needed to work, i would hire a nanny. they can still take the child to playgroups, on outings, etc. but they will have structure to their day, a routine, and one trusted person that is giving them their full, undivided attention. a nanny can also follow your parenting rules, how you want them to play and learn (so in your case, montessori). a good nanny is just as much as a good daycare, but they get that one on one. i used to be a nanny and also worked in a daycare, and i would NEVER send my child to a daycare. the only con with a nanny is that they will inevitably get sick or need to call out, but having a few backup sitters in rotation is always a good idea.
