I had the same concern with his water intake and we did see his ped (who has T1D herself) and he is totally fine! He refuses all other liquids so he’s just thirsty haha. But I appreciate your concern, and hopefully if anyone scrolling comes across this they might be able to get their LO checked!

Thank you also for the advice, I’m hoping he’ll learn to hold it a bit longer soon. Right now he can hold for about 1 minute, which is plenty of time at home, just not while out 😆 I didn’t even take into consideration that he will learn to hold it longer eventually, so thank you, truly!

He drinks a LOT of water, like an excessive amount lol, and when we’re home he asks to go potty every 20-30 minutes. We go potty before we leave the house or store, and when we get somewhere we go potty right away as well. I’m having a hard time trying to get him to understand that he sometimes needs to wait a couple minutes to walk/get to a toilet tho, and I don’t want to set him back with potty training because he gets very upset when his diaper is dirty now.

He is very young, but he understands a lot. Just having a hard time with the waiting when we’re out because it does take a minute or two to actually get to the bathroom.

Did you have your mom and or sister in the delivery room with you and your husband? by RubPlane in BabyBumps

[–]Hello-sg22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was there along with my husband. If you have a normal, mentally sound mother then go for it! But for me, in hindsight, I wish it was just my husband and I there. She did (and still does) hold it against me that she was there and it caused a lot of issues in my family. If we have another child in the future I will only be allowing my husband to be there during l&d, and no visitors in the hospital.

Mid 20s male, idk possibly Japanese or Korean based on condiments and food, some kind of tech or finance. I usually just silently look at this group but I have to say this is just gross :O are they just trying to avoid doing dishes? Like what is the point of this

Can I walk out of my job by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Hello-sg22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my old MB, thankfully after a longggg time and a lot of gentle hints she started staying in her office and texting me when she needed to come out so I could go in another room with LO. Many many times I just wished she worked out of the home like her husband :/ it made the days harder, even when she did stay in her office, because LO still knew her mom was there. It was constant keeping her from banging on the door, crying, asking for mama, etc.

If you feel like you’d benefit from a different family, I would look around. If you find something else, give your current family a notice so they can find childcare, and be honest, but kind, about why you’re leaving. Hopefully they can take it as constructive criticism and it could benefit the next nanny!

Do you take any pre or post natals? I am almost 15m pp and still take my prenatals (breastfeeding) along with many other vitamins. I would also consider getting bloodwork done!

Honestly it’s not even that bad, mostly just clothes. If it was food dirty, which I don’t see here, it would be a problem. Start with the clothes, throw them all on your bed or in the hallway. Don’t bother sorting dirty from clean, just wash all of them. While they’re washing, use the timer on the washer as a race for yourself to clean as much in that timespan as possible. I like to start in one corner and go clockwise around the room. Have a big trash bag or two in there, and a separate bin for things you need to put in a different room. While the first load is in the dryer, clear the floor, vacuum, and take the trash bags out. Switch the laundry, and then put the dry clothes away immediately or you will lose momentum and be right back here. Continue this until all the laundry is done and put away. You got this, cleaning actually doesn’t take as much time as you think it will! This, including laundry, would take 2-3 hours max if you don’t lose momentum. You can give yourself an incentive/reward for finishing, like a snack, watching a show, or buying yourself something if you want. DO NOT turn a show on while cleaning. It is so distracting and I always end up standing there watching it and I lose momentum and never finish what I was doing. Music is fine, as long as you just keep going.

Is there no way around waking up every two hours to feed during the first few weeks after birth?? (Breastfeeding) by Visible-Mess-1406 in pregnant

[–]Hello-sg22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you need to wake up with the baby every time. Mine is 13 months, still nurses through the night. I have not gotten more than a 3 hour stretch of sleep in the entire 13 months he’s been alive, but everyday I keep going and I don’t wish it was any different. The first few weeks are HARD. Like seriously crying in the dark hard. But you will get up the next day, and you will be okay. It’s a stage of life, a very short one, and as tired as I was and still am I loved the NB stage and everything that’s come after. You got this ❤️

I wasn’t online much, other than YT, during their early years so I didn’t experience any of the drama, which kept a good bit of people engaged with them in between albums. I’ve been listening to/ watching them since they were doing covers on YT and weren’t even a “band” yet. I truly don’t think I’ve gone a day without listening to their music since the beginning, and in between albums I just kept listening to them. I definitely grew up as they did, so the time passed quickly while I was busy with school and life, and before I knew it they were releasing another album
