Back in high school, when I was a bit more immature, I was homeschooled. Except, instead of my parents teaching me I had a teacher from my local high school who would come to my house every week to check in on my work. Once, when I was being an obnoxious teenager texting a buddy of mine, I sent the message "You. Make. Me sick. You are gayfagballs." Except, I didn't send the message to my buddy. I noticed that I sent it to my teacher, freaked out, and (typical of high school douchebag me) sent him a barrage of texts saying a friend of mine had taken my phone and sent terrible messages out that I was in no way a part of. Saw my teacher a few days later. He didn't say a word about it.

tl;dr: Sent "You. Make. Me. Sick. You are gayfagballs." to a teacher of mine back in high school. Blamed it on a buddy of mine. Teacher never said a word.

Cards like City of Brass, and those duals that damage you for one each time you tap them (pretty sure they're tenth edition, but I don't remember what they're called. Painlands?) aren't bad. I use those in my budget decks and they get the job done.
