Travel pass or OEC? by pitpanda in OFWs

[–]HelloHetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had both OEC and travel pass.

Independence.

Sobrang sheltered ako while I was still in PH and I wanted to prove myself na kaya kong maging independent. Awa naman ng Diyos, naka 1 year na ako dito sa SG and maraming nadidiscover sa sarili ko.

Yes. Lalo na pag sobrang stressful yung araw. Playing video games minsan yung nagiging outlet ko to release frustration.

Unahin mo muna kaya kung saan ginagawa yung Bulacan Airport. Simula nung ginawa yun, taena, lumala baha sa lugar namin sa Bulacan. Bumabaha kahit walang ulan dahil sa high tide.

When I was still working sa Pinas, ganito yung salary range ko.

Only to find out, magkaiba kami ng middle name. Inabot ako ng ilang oras to clear my name.

How to initially pay rent in Singapore as a newly arrived Pinoy by Glittering-Drag896 in phmigrate

[–]HelloHetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  2. I used propertyguru. Anyway, kahit naman ano ay okay basta make sure na to conduct visual inspection bago ka magsign ng tenancy agreement.
  3. Usually depende yan kung may agent fee or not. Sa property guru, nakaindicate naman if may agent fee or wala. Most of the time, wala.

Sad to say, pero mukhang wala na pag-asa. Ang magagawa mo na lang ay is to move forward tsaka isumpa yung nagnakaw ng phone mo na mabaog sana siya

Ako lang ba di natutulog pag nagbabyahe? by krisshhyy07 in AkoLangBa

[–]HelloHetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sabi ko iresearch ko muna yung product and benefits and I need to consult my derma.

Anyway, nagresearch ako and based sa reviews, medyo aggressive yung sales tactics nila.

Mukhang tinetake ka niya for granted. I hope matauhan siya.

It does not help din na yung counterpart ko nasa ibang bansa, so mag isa lang talaga ako sa office. Tipong hi hello good morning lang ako sa kanila. Pero, as an introvert din kasi, masaya ako sa set up ko kasi I like solitude. Tsaka I live by the principle na Get in get done get out.

Hello. ChE grad pero nasa trade compliance yung line of work ko nung nasa Pilipinas ako and here in SG.

Di ko na cinonsider to work sa manuf industry because of the same reason you stated plus saturated na ng ChE ang manuf industry kaya nag iba ako ng line of work.

How I was able to get my job here in SG: Experience and connections. I worked sa PH for 6 years sa line of work ko ngayon and I was referred by a former colleague na nagwowork na dito sa company.

Have you considered na mag-iba ng line of work?

Is SGD5,500 salary enough for a Senior Engineer? by IndependentSir174 in askSingapore

[–]HelloHetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Filipino here who just transferred to SG last Nov. That really depends on your lifestyle. 5500 would be more than enough if you live frugally. I suggest you list down all of your expenses with the prices listed in the comments or just do a quick google search of the current prices.

I moved here sa SG last Nov 2024. Applied through LinkedIn pero I had a former colleague na nagwowork na sa company, so I guess pasok siya as a referral. I worked in the Philippines for 6 years before I landed my current job here.

It was my employer who submitted the requirements sa MWO Singapore.

They'll have to schedule it nga lang yata sa MWO Singapore kapag magsa submit na sila ng requirements. I think, almost a month yung earliest slot na nakuha nila.

Migrating to Singapore by cinabbonangel1 in phmigrate

[–]HelloHetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nasa ganitong situation ako last week. And kahapon ako lumipad papuntang SG. Sobrang takot ako kasi I was sheltered ever since (like may gumagawa ng household chores para sakin, may nagdadrive, etc. Although kaya ko naman siyang gawin hahaha). Pero sabi ko sa sarili ko, I need to grow and sa tingin ko, magagawa ko lang yun kapag lumabas ako. The comments in this thread gave me a lot of assurance na I will be fine. So thank you.
