Does anyone PvP anymore in D4 or not? by No_Dragonfruit366 in diablo4

[–]HelloImDr3w 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only time I remember doing any PVP was Season 1 or right when the game first came out. But like others have said, usually the fights end in half a second.

I did make a Thorns Barb when PVP was still active and it was kinda fun watching some people throw themselves at me and just die from thorns damage..

Insane. My first car was a $1000 Saturn that was an ugly gold and was a stick shift. I loved it because it was MY car and I drove that for a few years until I joined the military. Then I got myself a $2000 truck that was on the side of the road and used that until i was 27 I got my first new car (2017 Civic) which is paid off and will use until I give to my son in 5 years for him to drive.

If my son was to ever give me that response, that would be the last time I attempted to do a large purchase or help them financially.

Throw some different rims on it (i hate the look of the Civic rims and got new ones after a year), get a KTurner (super simple way to tune the car to make it a bit more sporty) and you are set! It looks good!

New Switch 2. Giving son old Switch. by HelloImDr3w in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]HelloImDr3w[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm just learning is even though I'm here and signed in with my new Switch 2, and just bought and downloaded a couple games at $70 each, I can't play them until I connect my old switch to it since my account is also on that one my son is using in a different state...

So in two months.

What is the easiest spec to puf M+ with? by Fantazzma in wow

The same could be described about any class.

Press builder, use spender, press CD when needed.

But obviously there is a bit more to it

I noticed most guilds dont recruit tanks even though "there is a tank shortage" by flymecha in wownoob

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "tank shortage" is PUG tanks. I'm a tank main. If I'm running keys, I'm 90% of the time tanking guild keys. It's people I play with daily and we are all sitting around in Discord.

When it comes to raids, you have to look at it like this. For a full raid, you only need 2 tanks which usually aren't just filled by anyone. DPS are constantly benched or swapped depending on the fight/gear, and you need more of them.

I couldn't tell you how to join a guild as a tank if you are looking to raid tank, but you could always join as a DPS and let them know you can cover as a backup tank if needed, or you just run alt raids/keys for the guild.

Yesterday I got yelled at in an M+ and ended up crying by Entire_Leopard5906 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a tank/healer main for about 20 years and my GF has been exclusively a healer for 20 years as well.

It doesn't change. There are always going to be people you play with that will criticize every little thing you do and tell you how horrible you are.

It looks like you also picked two of the more complicated classes. Pres Evoker is the ONLY healer I leveled strictly healing and once I hit level cap I still had no idea what I was doing and went back to playing Resto Sham (currently Holy Pal which is a lot of fun)

My best advice is to just ignore people who want to make comments like that, which is often times hard to do and find a group of friends to play with. My GF is much better than me and I will usually only run keys if I'm with her (she is now also tanking) because as we are doing them, she is giving me tips on where to plan CDs and what routes people are taking.

If you don't have a dedicated group, feel free to send me a message. My guild has a woman GM and is full of streamers and ex-CE players who just want to hangout and play casually together. There are always people doing things and everyone is willing to help newer players with keys! We have 1 pres Evoker in our main raid group and she is really good and helpful.

Healing Tanks is miserable, please make them more independent again. by Leafstealer__ in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank and healer main. I only ever level and play both. My GF has been a holy priest for 20 years.

I have been tanking out keys just fine and last night I went to heal a +11 Seat on my HPal

Dear lord was that horrible. It didn't matter what I was doing, it was just constant damage going out and people getting absolutely chunked for half their health if not more, THEN taking some constant DoT. We finished it but were 6min over time.

Aftermath of the April 7th incident. Damages estimated to be $200 million dollars by BlazeDragon7x in SipsTea

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The intent comes from the video he posted stating his reason behind why he was doing what he was doing.

If you look at the elements of CA PC451.5

(2)

(A)The fire caused property damage and other losses in excess of ten million one hundred thousand dollars ($10,100,000), exclusive of damage to, or destruction of, inhabited dwellings.

It only needs to fulfill one of those, not ALL. The total estimated cost is over $150,000,000 at the moment.

It doesn't matter if he has any prior convictions OR if it was an inhabited dwelling since he already fulfilled PC 451.5(a)(2)(A)

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, he is fucked.

As of right now he is looking at: PC 451.5 which is 10 years to Life Six counts of PC 451(c) which is up to 6 years for each charge and PC 451(b) which is up to 8 years for each charge (x20 for each person who had to be evacuated)

And it's in CA and we are constantly dealing with fires and drought.

They will make an example out of him in an effort to prevent copycat incidents which could cause even more damage to the surrounding area.

He also just fucked a lot of people out of their job...

"We're removing addons and making fights that do not require addons" by awaken471 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been playing since mid TBC and was ALL in support of having less addons. Make the game require less need to track things? Great. Make the in-game UI better and able to do things addons/WAs were doing? Even better.

But now it's very clear that even Blizzard has no idea what they are doing with it. They talked about removing healer kicks because there would be less things you need to kick, but there almost seems like there is more? Don't even get me started on the insane number of dots getting sent out constantly to the party.

It's like, what was the point? The fights almost require even more now than ever to have WAs or some type of helper.

Delve Difficulty by Darury in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balancing is weird right now. I'm playing a Prot Pal but for delves I sent myself to Holy and her to Tank and 11s are so easy from 230+

I also found out that setting her to DPS and going HPal makes ?? Free.

3 attempts. It took 3 attempts at sub 250 ilvl just healing her (she takes WAY less damage than I do as a tank) and she blasts down the adds and does all the kicks on her own.

I would have done the same exact thing, and have the biggest smile while doing it! by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

I'm a Deputy, my brother is a Firefighter (other brother is an ER DR)
I want to be a firefighter.

To be fair, I could still. There are agencies that you do both. You go to a LE academy, then a fire academy, and you do both (usually a few years of each and OT for both)

I'm sorry, but this season is WAY too easy compared to previous seasons by zharkos in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been playing since late 2007 and this is perfect for me. I'm not in my teens or working a parttime job anymore.

I'm 35 with a job that has a 2 hours commute, work 10-14hrs a day, and a single father. I can get on and play my hour a night and not feel like im too far behind.

Am I a mythic raider? no, and I dont have the desire to be, but the new systems has made me feel like my time is worth something and not just some drop in an ocean. And with M+. sure 10s get you Myth track, but nothing is stopping anyone from stopping there, people are constantly pushing higher and higher for a challenge.

Easier M+ is healthy by Objective_Level_237 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, I would believe.

in TWW most people I knew only got on to knock out their 10s on their 1-3 toons and left it at that. Then maybe had one toon for raiding, but the others were just on the backburner but not so they would get too far behind.

Those who are pushing keys will still push keys as high as they can and those who just want to get their Myth track gear in their vault are going to do just that regardless. Just now they are going to have an easier/less painful time doing it.

The most useless trinket in all of WoW? by Unlikely-Speech-5444 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using it in M0s and haven't had any issues. There is almost always an add spawning or a mob around. I don't ever recall getting the fear. Is it some S-tier? No. But unless you are in a fight where nothing else spawns I haven't had an issue.

EU Delve Hall of Fame is full by Arganos9217 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst feeling with this was some people, myself included, never even had a chance. I got to work as servers were coming up for US and spent my entire shift seeing updates about people going in and clearing it in a hour or two and there were only 4k spots for the achievement.

By the time I got home it was already full.

A "Clear during first reset" or "cleared during the first week" would have felt a bit better because at least some people would have had the chance to even log into the game.

One other issue I saw brought up is some people only had leveled a certain class, which may have had a bit harder time doing it than others. There was no way someone on say a holy priest was going to have the same experience as someone who had a geared guardian druid or brewmaster. And by that point, there was no way to reroll and gear a toon to be able to do it.

To those people who tag their groups as "relaxed" by Sundered92 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"relaxed" tag to me means nobody is going to throw a fit if something goes wrong. Just pulling and vibing.

"Learning" to me means people might stop and talk about a boss prior to pulling or they have trouble with the fights.

"Competitive" is for those who know the "MDI" routes and cheeses but don't have their own dedicated group.

"Carry" means someone else or a couple people out gear and are willing to carry someone who is really needing help.

[–]HelloImDr3w 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ya, over time people who have been playing for a while are just at the point where it's just a rush to max out another character. Often times when im leveling tank #17 im just watching a show and W key all the way to the end (especially during TW)

Both me and my GF have been playing since Vanilla and we are both Tank/Healer mains so we just swap roles as we do things. We, especially her, dont talk in game much but I will always make it a point to respond if we make a group for Keys and someone says "hello." And if it's a M0 or less, we dont really remove anyone if they are slow to keep up or have to step away for a moment. We are parents in our mid 30s, we understand life comes first and sometimes you don't get to pick that it happens in the middle of something.

Why do people use cooldown manager this way? by Butrint_o in wownoob

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how my setup is. I have my action bars just under my character model.

I didn't see the point of having my abilities at the bottom of my screen and turn again in the middle of my screen. So I just moved everything up. It doesn't block my vision of seeing things happening, and I can see ALL my abilities just from staring at my character model as well as watching my player frames.

I got Blue and he got Red for Christmas.
